So, I was just reading 'WE ARE NOT LINKIN PARK!!' under Announcements, and after reading all the comments and overly laughing, I wondered. Just... Just what if one of them actually HAS made an account here, and is hiding as one of us? It could be anyone! D:
The band has stated on a few occasions (to me via LPA interviews, and through their own blogs) that they definitely check out the LPA and even browse the forums from time to time. Whether or not they have a secret account, or view the forums as a guest is something we've never actually received confirmation on, but Mike has checked us out and even has quoted posts from here in the past. So who knows . Of course, the screennames Mike, Chester, Phoenix/Dave, Rob, Brad and Joe are all reserved for the band. So if they ever want to really sign up (and we encourage them to) they just have to have Adam tell us, and we'll unlock those accounts/set them up on the forums with their own account. So yeah, if you're reading this Mike...send Adam an email, you're welcome on here anytime.

Sort of me. During the last couple of years or so LPMB didn't really get a lot of Admin attention (especially compared to LPUMB) only to be swarmed with teeniebopping shmucks who would flock the board en masse when Mike Shinoda would post thinking they'd have a chance to talk to him. During one of these threads I go in and say something along the lines of "Hey Mike ever get tired of being swarmed by 13 year old (expletive I'm not sure I can use on LPA) whenever you arrive on a routinely dead board that not even the Admins pretend they give a shit about anymore?", not thinking he'd actually see it. He did, and replied with something like "Yeah. Do you ever get tired of being a cynical prick?", much to the vocal glee of said 13 year olds. After some back and forth he admitted he probably would be pissy if he were in my situation. And then like 2 days later he responded to me making fun of him for comparing The Offspring to Panic at the Disco. Nothing huge, but I thought it was kind of funny.
Derek is actually Mike. It never seemed suspicious to any of you that there are 6 LPA admins and 6 LP guys?
Mike would never post on an unofficial board. And I'd understand why, there is too much competition between LP fansites (telling me otherwise is BS). He wouldn't promote a website by his presence and kill the others. But I think that maybe they should keep in touch a little more with fansites so we could have interviews like Phoenix did here. I think LP needs to do a REAL Q&A with their fans. 20 real questions asked and they could videotape their answers. Questions by fans about lot of things, and not the same bullshit the journalists ask when they don't know a thing about the band and searched their stuff on wikipedia. People could send questions and we could vote about the ones that get picked. If there would be too much questions on the official website, they could use LPA and LPlive to do the selection for them.
