    Figure.09 is used in the film SWAT but it sounds different than the album version.

    Why does it sound different? Does it sound different? Is it a demo or something.....

    It's edited to fit better with what's going in the movie, but there are no actual changes to the song.

    Yeah it's the same exact same song, just edited/spliced for time.

    I think he's referring to the change in pitch.

    lol I was just thinking of this earlier, and yeah the pitch was changed slightly and also edited for the movie

    Not a very big pitch gain. But it's there.

    Pitch-shifted up half a step (C# to D), to be precise.

    Entirely possible that it was an editing goof by the movie production team, or another possible explanation is that the edit of the song they used for that scene ran a couple seconds too long, so raising the pitch shortened it up a bit (since doing so also increases the tempo).

    On that note, you'd be surprised at how many songs have been raised a whole step to sound more energetic for movies. For example, the song Meant To Live by Switchfoot was mixed one key higher for Spider-Man 2.
