http://store.steampowered.com/ Shit's pretty rad, I originally only got it to play TF2 with friends, but they're constantly running 50-75% off deals and you can stock up and good stuff fairly regularly.
With the exception of maybe two or three titles in the 90s, Steam is the only way I've ever bought and played PC games.
Amnesia is on sale for $10, that worth it? I've heard a lot about it but people say it's not for everyone.
Yeah been using Steam off and on since it's release via HL2 when Steam was slow and pretty terrible. Pretty much all the games I have on there are Valve's FPS though with the exception of Braid and the Secret of Monkey Island remake.
I got the potato Sack, everything is great. Audiosurf is really good. If you like that check out Beat Hazard. It's a space shooter that uses the intensity of music you upload to determine the intensity of the level.
The Steam holiday sales are the stuff of legend. I bought The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom last Christmas for $0.45. Yes, forty-five cents.
I picked that up to, it's great. Braid is another good game in that vein, if it goes on sale again (I think I paid $2) definitely pick that up.
Since I got my new laptop I've been playing games via Steam. Everything from TF2 to GTA to L4D2 and so on. RICK RAUSS is my ID if you want to play some time.
