Iridescent Splash Page at Linkin Park Website Teases Transformers Partnership

dramatics aside, seriously though, why Iridescent of all the songs? That is the only thing making me curious. Is there a significance as to why they picked this song? I just want to know and i hope it's not just Michael Bay trolling LP.

 

Im hoping for this too even though its unlikely.

 

I initially expected burning in the skies to be transformers soundtrack, as it sounds similar to what I've done , but iridiscent will do.

 

That would be nice if the band has something up in their sleeve like a power song like NEW DIVIDE since it is the last installment of the movie...

 

I would really hope that.

 

I don't see what everybody's problem is with it really, it's a good way for Linkin Park to aquire more fans and let their music reach for greater audiences. Just because their name is attached to the music credits for the movie, in no way does it's quality reflect the quality of Linkin Park and their tracks.

i am sure that LP is gonna be in Transformers 3 .. I mean, first one = what i've done, second one = new divide, third one = has to be iridescent!

 

I don't think Iridescent is going to be exploited at all with this movie. What I believe is that it's just there as a soundtrack, but who really knows. Anyways I was kinda hoping LP would stay away from Transformers franchise (since that is a common place where people say they have sold out), but if they are just putting one of their music on the soundtrack which might not even be played during the Transfomers movie then it's all cool.

I enjoyed the Transformers movies, but I can see why people would despise it.

Iridescent is going to suck as an overplayed themesong to a blockbuster movie.

The quality of said movie aside, I actually kind of enjoy the films because they're over the top.

 

WHY Iridiscent, one of the worst songs of ATS. Blackout or W&K would have fitted so much better.

 

I think it's gonna do great as a single really. Yes it would be awesome if the band choose either Blackout or Wretches and Kings but if you think about it, Iridiscent would grab the attention of a wider audience in my opinion (not saying blackout or W&K wouldn't do that same).

I'm happy this is gonna be the next single, excited to see what the music video will bring us.

Transformers is a blockbuster over-the-top movie series. A softy song like Iridiscent doesn't fit here, where Blackout for example does, due to the 8-bit style melody.

 

W&K is the worst song on ATS IMO.

for me, song-wise I would pick Robot Boy
album-wise maybe W&K

 

Ah, okay. I didn't say the worst, one of the least good songs then. But it's a good thing that there's some stuff for everyone, right?

 

And that's why I love LP, every other band sounds so cliche
(no offense whatsoever)
