What We Don't Know... hands down. The way Chester sings on that track is IMO what made him famous. Nobody in the world can sound like he does in this song.
Chester's vocals on Empty Spaces were the best I've ever heard. Now I dare anyone to disagree with me
The part towards the end that is nearly acapella when he sings the lyrics ''This is how we fall apart, etc'', is Chester's unique voice in a raw sound. No other singer can sound like that. If you watch the making of MTM DVD, even Mike and Brad both agree on that.
Between "Breaking The Habit" and "Shadow" for me. This thread should really be "favourite performance by Chester on an LP song" ;*
^Its the exact same for me I love when Chester does his BTH solo with no music! Also when he sang SoTD live my heart stopped beating!
It's hard for me to choose, I consider that Chester can achieve so many styles and ways of singing with his voice... but I'm sticking with The Messenger. I love the lyrics and the song itself, but I know it's the voice of him that makes it unique.
