Well, I live in Europe and my impression is that alcohol is much more common here than weed. It´s no problem to drink alcohol with 16 years or even less (at least the country where I live).

But I´m glad that Chester said that it´s all about the music now, so I don´t wanna talk about drugs anymore.:)

This x1000, and everyone seems to be missing this.

One interviewer's unquoted word does not make truth any more than LP is manufactured or "What I've Done" being debuted on KROQ in March. The other five guys like a beer now and then, and they never hid that fact. Mike- someone who typically doesn't share much personal info- even shared a few anecdotes on his adventures. However, Pot would contradict what the band has said in the past. It's much much more likely that the interviewer done goofed then for the band to just casually mention a contradictory factoid in passing.

    Nice.
I for one, just care about their music, not their personal shit.

Kind of late but I also was surprised that the other band members were into drugs and alcohol. I always thought it was just Chester too. Kind of disappointing but if they don't do that stuff anymore than that makes me happy. I know it's none of my business what they do, as long as the music's good, but I like to see rock bands break the stereotype. PLUS, I like hearing about people getting over their addicts, although that applies to Chester.

This. It's OK if they really did smoke pot, but it's quite shocking because out of nowhere some dude suddenly blurted out "the rest of the band – who were more into pot and booze" coming from his own mouth.

That whole quote people are obsessing and fixated on to me seems to refer to the other bands they toured with than Linkin Park themselves. Or else, the writer inferred or just screwed up on his grammar. Either way, i don't really see the big deal.

I thought everything else but the drugs and alcohol were far more interesting. I especially loved the part about the music/stage energy Mike and Chester deliver. Glad to see someone else appreciate the same things i do.

"That didn't help build bonds with the rest of the band – who were more into pot and booze, and had no idea their frontman would be sitting on the tour bus tripping."
He's talking about Linkin Park, unless he made a really big typo.

I think it's fairly obvious he was talking about S-Club 7. Come on, guys.

Also, on Rob's bio page here it says:

"Eventually, Rob and Brad would form their own band called Relative Degree, whose sound he likens to 311. Their dream was to perform at the Hollywood club 'The Roxy', a goal they eventually attained, and broke up soon afterwards. After the band's break-up, Rob's life became a turmoil of drug and alcohol abuse. Eventually, by the end of high school, Rob got his life back in order and began playing full-time again."

    That was news to me.
