Can someone send me an invite? [email protected] Yes i created the email just so i could try this out Don't think it will beat facebook, but we'll see.
Invited Handy and BBB. And it's better than Facebook for sure. Don't let the fact that none of your friends will have it (yet) stop you from seeing its potential.
Well it took me those 12 hours to realise that I had to be using the web version instead of the app to change my profile picture that is how it felt like forever.
Can you edit your URL? I don't see a 'settings' like in FB or the Twit I still don't think you can edit the URL, atleast not in the google settings Help for N00bs like me, or just any user anyway its a new site, here's a ballin info graphic full of stuff you'll forget by the time people actually start using the site. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2390276,00.asp
I know that you can see everything in your profile to private. What I'm trying to say is that certain pages on Facebook, which are suppose to be Public are not visible unless you sign-in. Which is not truly a public page, since it requires you to have a Facebook account. On, Google+ however, if someone wants to set their page to be truly accessible to everyone, they can. You need not sign in to see anything since it is public in the most sincere of ways. So, I'm kind of confused why you are talking about private pages, when I'm talking about the opposite. I know that Facebook allows privacy. My (deactivated) page has been set to the strictest possible settings for as long as they're not automatically changed. In fact, if you were to go to my page if it were activated and not sign in, it would say that the page does not even exist. To sum up, I know that Facebook can be private (I also know I distrust Facebook), and I know that Google Plus is easier to manage being in that if you want something public, it is Public and if you want something private. And that's what I was talking about. And now, I have repeated myself too much. Good day.
I think it has better potential, but it needs time to get there. Right now I have a feeling that the hype from beta has the potential to bite back before Google even gets to improve upon what they have now.
Because your original post was so vaguely and badly (no offense intended, just stating) written that it's easy to interpret it as saying the opposite.
Not saying I trust Facebook, but backing up Facebook distrust with having faith in the largest most accessible search engine in the world, doesnt exactly help that point! lolz btw I need some friends and acquaintances add me! https://plus.google.com/111514087927522586091/posts
It's not that I entirely trust Google either, but they are an alternative with a better platform that I believe does not sell my personal to third parties and do not currently harass me with multiple useless plugins and add-ons that do nothing but reduce productivity and provide an plethora of spam. In other words, I just trust Google more than Facebook, their products and services are solid and remain so (exceptions of Wave and Buzz).
well, i defriended myself from Facebook. i did that, hum i don't remember when. it was my conscious decision too. it's a good thing bc so i can focus on the "you know what"--> school. Lets c if i can finally beat my goal for school= is to finally get straight A's for the first time!
