I think... this is my favorite entry so far.
    Great job!

I have to say that this Month theme was a brilliant idea. Don't know if I'm going to participate, I'm not so good with guitar (and the one I have is broken, altough...). If this had happened some years ago, I would put something here, maybe. (Some years ago me and my friends had some kind of band project and we made some LP covers.
Sadly, I don't have any record of that) (I have to search...).

So, good luck to all the contestants!

I've got a decent shadow of the day cover that I want to submit. Can I still do it? I'm quite happy about it!

I'll get it on soundcloud asap!

Sweet that gives me some time to make an even better one as I like just about everything except the flawed, reinvented bridge. 10 days....hmmm. I'll see what I can come up with.

  9. The thing I absolutely love about this month's competition is that unlike last month, it's so much more open. You don't need all the fancy programs and equpiment, just your voice and a guitar or couple instruments. The fact that there's so many more entries this time is awesome too. Keep it up LPA! :D

Thanks for the easy theme (as in not using all my equipment). This will be the first time my voice will be dominant in a song I cover/make. Should be interesting i'm doing Wretches And Kings Acoustic and Unplugged.

What do you guys think of this Messenger cover?

I know I can do even better than that, and control my volume for those high notes ;) Can't find my damn capo so I cant do a good shadow of the day cover. That was has stuck a chord with a bunch of ppl.

Check out the other ones too.

You sounded confused on your guitar at a lot of points, but good effort! :)

So I was planning on this really unique and elaborate entry, but I have pretty much given up that idea. I was thinking of something similar to the NIN - Still album. I don't think I want to spend that much effort on an unplugged song though. Especially a song from Hybrid Theory that might not even end up sounding good lol. Could be good or a disaster. I might just do a simple cover of Somewhere I Belong for Minus instead.

I don't know that I like his high notes, otherwise your vocalist friend is pretty good. Great cover.

This, the high notes were a bit "iffy" but it was quite good.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I may not be able to get my entry in before the deadline, I had to take my acoustic guitar to my tech for some work and it took him longer to get it back to me than I thought it would, so I'll be cutting it pretty close. I'm still going to record the song either way, just not sure if it'll be done by the 15th.

Am I allowed to sample the Mario Savo speech for my cover of Wretches and Kings?
