Linkin Park Win Best Rock at MTV EMAs

    Congrats to LP on winning an award for 'Best Rock' at tonight's MTV Europe Music Awards! The band beat out the likes of Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon and Red Hot Chili Peppers for the award.

    The band was also nominated for Best World Stage, but lost that category to 30 Seconds To Mars.

    YAY! But am I the only one that felt that the other nominees deserved it more than Linkin Park? They are my favorite band but the other bands, especially RHCP and Coldplay, were better this year. Of course, Mylo Xyloto recently came out so there wasn't really much time for people to take in the album but still.....I'm ready to be flamed but its my opinion.

    On a side note, I'm With You is one of my fav albums now, check it out!

    Linkin Park as a whole should legitimately move to some European country. They seriously love them a lot more there.

    I think they deserve it. This time around, I didn't like the RHCP album that much. It has 2 or 3 songs on it that I like, but the others didn't seem to be their usual quality to me. The album didn't feel anything like Stadium Arcadium or By The Way. I'm still a fan but in my eyes LP won the award because they deserve it.

    I'm happy for them! Congrats! But the ema's are just f*&%#d up.. just those stupid teenie bands and "things " like lady gaga! stupid... I remember 2001 when the ppl went nuts as LP played there! There were nominated Bands like blink 182 or so ... and today .. justin bieber, selena gomez ... The teenies lost sense of music

    I totally forgot about that crap. I guess the only positive thing about this awards is that the fans vote for it. Good for the bands involved i guess.

    A Thousand Suns even in its rawest form is still rock music. Just because it doesn't have shredding guitars or blistering solos doesn't mean it's not a rock album. Rock comes in many forms. Coldplay's latest is Pop Rock while Linkin Park have become an Alternative Rock group. Either way it's still rock.
