What do you think about KoRn's new direction of Dubstep-Metal? Personally I think it's much better than what they've been putting out in the mid 2000's +. Can't wait to hear their new album.
I'm not really into it. The music isn't really my style and the writing on Get up is pretty bad. This song is a little bit better though. And I'll give Korn props for doing something new. New music seems to getting more boring and uncreative as it goes along. So one up for Korn for doing something kind of fresh
I've never heard a drumstep/metal combination before - it works better than I thought it would with "Narcissistic". I gave "Get Up" a listen while back and I wasn't a fan. I don't really like Korn, but I am a fan of many of the producers they worked with on their most recent release.
I think it's merely a money-grabbing move. Dubstep is like the "in" thing right now and I feel they are just cashing in on that.
Get Up is ok, Narcissistic Cannibal is great, and Sanctuarys awful. I've never liked a Korn album beginning to end, though. They all have bright spots and total garbage, and it looks like this will be the same. I think it's weird how consistently they release inconsistent albums, but there you go. Edit also Way Too Far live is pretty sweet, I hope the studio version is even better and not a bored mope like Sanctuary. It isn't as bad as I'd expected it to be but I still probably wouldn't willingly listen to it again. It kind of is just Korn with wobbles.
I got the same sentiment. But Narcissistic Cannibal sounds sweet. I think if you're a Pendulum fan, you should be able to stomach this album. I'll check it out.
Like alot of other people here I didn't really like Get Up either. But KoRn's workign with a whole bunch of dubstep producers, so that could be interesting.
Never cared for the apart from two or three songs. It's an obvious money-grabbing move lol but who knows, something good might come out of it.
It sounds like See You On The Other Side produced by a Transformer. Not bad, but not the innovative smash they needed at this point.
The album is amazing in my opinion. It sounds like the album See You On The Other Side so badly wanted to be. Sanctuary is my favorite Korn song at the moment and I loved everything except for Illuminati (which was alright). My favorites from the album are Sanctuary, My Wall, and Way Too Far.
