Correct. Based on the actual time spent on past albums directly in studio, LP will have matched if not surpassed that amount of time from their current activities in the studio if they were to release an album in the summer. Along with the fact that ideas that were unfinished from ATS are also being reused and their experience now with writing music. I would say Linkin Park has a far bigger advantage this album cycle than any other before. And with their goal of an album about every 18 months, an album by next summer is very, very likely. I know LP has their streaks of history in the past, but they are definitely making an effort this time around to get the album out faster. 18 months from September 2010 is March of 2012. So 3-5 extra months past that deadline seems likely. And honestly, I'd be happy with an album out anytime next year (preferably spring still, duh)
I think the album will come out in 2013... I'd love for a late spring release, that way we can get a PR in the states and Euro summer festivals. Probably not gonna happen.
Lp is so epic. . . How epic are they? They are so epic they will create a new month just for the release of the new record
I'm gonna add a whole nother layer to this. The guys said their next album would more stripped down and simplified which generally means it'll be easier to produce n' all that shit right? which also means it'll get done faster, right?
Upon thinking about a possible release date, it just occurred to me that LP haven't been giving us much of an idea of progress at all. I was keeping a fifth album page on the wiki but there hasn't been much news to update it with. They could be done next month for all I know (and that would make a May release plausible). Or maybe they're not far at all and then it will be fall or something. They've been really optimistic sounding though.
