They could sing "Cats are awesome, no lies" 1,000 times, as long as the music and vocals of it are good, its A-OK to me :nyan:

TBH I think Robot Boy's demo lyrics are better than the final cut.

Also Papercut is genius, especially live.

Till today papercut still blows my mind, imo its one of LP's most underrated songs, its just a mind blowing song that will never get old i listen to it everyday.

You could almost say that you listen to it so much that it's like a...

Agree with the Papercut topic, that song is one of LP's bests. I love everything of that song, the guitar, the beats, the drums, the vocals(one of the bests imo) and the bridge-outro.

I agree with the quality of Papercut and APFMH, though I think rude things has been said to Given Up. It's surely not the impersonificated apotheosis of LP's creativity, but I wouldn't define it as "angsty" and specially not "whiny". The song is inside of MTM, an album where every song is taken under a mature/dramatic aspect, so to consider Given Up as a whiny track would place it totally out from the rest of the album. My own interpretation of the lyrics are simply of a person who cannot stand it anymore, who is passing a troubled and stressed part of life where everything people says frees a rapsus out of him, nothing and no one can set him free because of the situation he is in (maybe he lost a job and is unemployed since months, waking up in the same disgrace, ...).
Now, I believe EVERYBODY passes through a moment where you just might want to send to fuck themselves every single person on Earth because you feel you have been cheated on. And you are totally out of control, so after all you're your own worst enemy, as you cannot control the consequences of your own actions or words.
That's what the song wants to deliberate. Not about "ohh I'm a little teeny and I don't wanna do my homeworks so put me out of this misery!" That's a bit too reductive, and certainly not worth a 17 seconds or something scream out of your lungs when you start to hit your 30's.

AGAIN you are taking a song that is a demo that is potentially from before the band had a record contract, when they were practically kids and comparing it to finished songs, or b-sides (which are finished songs that never made it on an album), which are years after they've had a record contract...and after they've already taken lessons in songwriting or studied how to write better music!

It is NOT countable. And the weakness of those lyrics is the reason why that song never was OFFICIALLY released, and why the bridge melody became the chorus melody to Crawling. That demo was never intended to see the light of day EVER but was released as a gift to the fans who signed up for the LPU so they could see how far the band has come.

It is not an accurate portrayal of the band's lyrical ability because as of this time it is close to 13-15 YEARS OLD.

I really think we need a new facepalm emoticon. Our current one no longer accurately portrays the sheer level of fail that is going on in this thread.

    x infinity.

Going out of topic just to return INTO topic, about BID, who will actually do the monthly remixes? I read the comments of Mike on Twitter yesterday. Is he personally going to remix songs from LT? If so, I have to be more excited than expected for those :awesome:

I would imagine that it'd be Mike, if not I'll be disappointed, unless they're good, of course.
