I'll get the obvious one out of the way: QWERTY I also feel The Messenger, The Little Things Give You Away, P5hng Me Aw*y, and One Step Closer (Live in Texas one and Intro/outro version) are better live. Breaking the Habit can be depending on the night (RtR BTH takes a dump on anything I have ever heard in my life)
Wretches and Kings is AWESOME live. Bleed It Out is another great one live too. The Requiem into W&K is one of the best openers I've seen.
+1 I do prefer the live versions of What I've Done (the scream during the solo), One Step Closer, With You and Faint
Wretches And Kings - live drums sound better than those on album Valentine's Day - atmospheric sounds
The only songs that I actually ENJOY better live are Qwerty, The Messenger and By Myself. The rest are all better in their studio form, IMO.
yeah. Qwerty, High Voltage, Faint, No more Sorrow, P5hng mie A*wy, are all better than their studio counterparts IMO.
Pretty much anything with an extended intro or outro. Bleed it Out is pretty boss, especially with the street drum corps. Faint, the Figure .09/From the Inside transition combo. From the Inside with Fort Minor over it. I just like all the additional surprises.
Faint sounds better live only for the extended outro. Papercut is fucking awesome live no doubt. No More Sorrow only for the extended intro. A Place for My Head for the extended bridge. Bleed It Out for all the crazy shit they add to it. Oh and QWERTY 100% In a year I'm sure they could probably play an entire show consisting of just one long Bleed It Out Medley. That would actually be pretty rad!
Songs where I definitely prefer live recordings to studio recordings: "Bleed It Out" (with or without altered bridge) "P5hng Me A*wy" "A Place For My Head" "QWERTY" "The Radiance" and "Reading My Eyes". ;P
