It almost does seem as though LP is trying to emulate the earlier albums. I'm not complaining but I hope that isn't the reason for what we see.

I don't think so. They were just making the record while trying to use all the tools from the :toolbox:. They made it and this is how it turned out.

At first galnce I was like cool, but I looked again and Victimized is under 2 minutes? what?

EDIT: I'm not complaining about the overall track times or album length, i'm quite fine with it actually. I just am surprised about Victimized being under 2 minutes. But it still should be awesome as I love Rise Against's Brick which is a fast past 1:31 song

Victimized could just start out with aggressive vocals and whatever instruments are used instead of having some sort of intro. That cuts off like 20 secs maybe? Once the album is out and we hear the complete song, we will forget about all this bitching about the track times. :)

The discussion is about LT track times and a debate has risen about VICTIMIZED length, yes some people said the song doesn't need to be long to be good, but I seriously think there is no need to put a video in every page of the thread as that point has been made already. It's redundant.

And you could be more polite, no need to be hostile about it.

Not the most important piece of information but it's a new step towards the release.

Wow, I'm surprised - I thought TINFOIL was actually going to be the same length as LGM, or longer, like CFTI and Session were. Interesting they shaved off more than 3 minutes off of POWERLESS - I want to hear the original before I've even heard the final version

I'll end it all for you by posting what is, to my knowledge, the shortest recorded song in existence.

From what I gathered in the MTV interview, POWERLESS was originally 6 minutes~

Looks like it then went to 4:58 (POWERLESS + TINFOIL track times)

Then chopped off 1:14 from the front and named it TINFOIL.

I wonder if it was seriously just a chop job or if it kinda morphs into the intro of POWERLESS...

for some odd reason I have the feeling that VICTIMIZED will be like the intro to qwerty (and maybe the other parts chester has) I know nothings been proven but qwerty almost doesn't have an intro...chester's allmighty screaming stars just seconds after the song begins...I think victimized will be like that too

why did they not keep it 6 minutes? did they really want a short record on purpose? I can understand the fire cracker record but that doesn't mean one song can't be long
