I saw that you guys put up the promo artwork from Living Things. Looks really dope!! I'm really diggin the glitch and very digital kind of artwork. Reminds me a little bit of the musicvideo for Waiting For The End.
AMAZING !! Hope we can get a 3D version of them... I wanna do a Lyric Video for the full album with this artwork
I want real sculptures of this, so amazing. The Phoenix one is the one I like the most. Joe's great too, looks like he has a carnevale-esque mask on. Brad looks like a freaking android, or the liquid metal man, so awesome. BTW does anyone have 3D glasses? I see some blue/red shades around the pictures but I can't confirm it as I don't have a pair.
Ok, I'm missing something... Anybody got a link? I can't seem to find them... Edit: Nevermind, just realized the 2nd post was a link. Because I'm stupid.
I like that they kept a bit of the weird "digital" theme from the ATS era art. I hope it's a theme from now on, makes more sense than Meteora weird "gothic" (the popular logo for the band at the time, not anything actually on the Meteora cd) font and MTM bland "logo with nothing" theme.
This artwork is pretty awesome. I was wondering if all the artwork was based around the 3D scans, I guess they are. Can not wait til I get that album booklet in my hand!
I also do hope they stay with this kind of theme for a while. And as you pointed out, it brings me the feeling from the ATS era. With the digital-noise-glitch art type of thing. Hopefully the booklet will be packed with this kind of artwork
What I like the most is the contrast that exists between the album title and the artwork/music.. People read "LIVING THINGS" and they started thinking about trees and animals and stuff like that -lol-, but the imagery is so abstract, inorganic and digital, really like the glitchiness and all those very thin lines that form geometrical patterns (around Phoenix's neck or Brad's head for example).. Also you can totally relate this artwork with the music and it's electronic-digital influence, it's a nice synergy going on between the organic (instrumentals, voices and lyrics) with the "inorganic" (electronic/digital sounds and imagery). The whole concept is really awesome to me.
Yeah, the artwork is really impressive, even compared to the artwork of A Thousand Suns. I'm surprised they didn't want this stuff in a deluxe set.
Mike's is my favorite of all of them. His jawline looks awesome. I love this fucking artwork. Best LP artwork yet, IMO.
