I didn't specifically mean you, but I have to say, I read your review and I disagree with you on many of your points.

was gonna write a rather critical review after listening to it start to finish, but played it a second time almost straight after and most songs were instantly better. So gonna spend tomorrow listening to it before I give a real opinion.

From what I can gather now though it feels like Living Things reviews have been a bit overboard, possibly due to ATS being under received. I find the problem with the album is that there's not much depth, it's just dense. The disconnection and expansivness of ATS was impressive, and it just feels like they haven't pushed further on that.

Also, gonna throw a spanner in the works and say that I was very unimpressed with Chester on this album. Where as every vocal Mike delivers has a very human feel to it, Chester felt very clean cut and frankly juvenile. Again just opinions

    Here's my review:

Where was this fucking album back in 2007 when they first tried this kind of sound? I still don't really like it when Chester & Mike share a song, but it's whatever. They make it work.

For the first time... I don't really have anything bad to say.

Hi everybody, I just sign up today, but i follow you since a few month now... With the excitation of the new Album, I watch everyday to new information. Since friday, and the listening of LV, I'm not affraid to say "this is their Fu**** best album ever !!!!" I've listening maybe a 100 times since. And it's all perfect ! Even Some track who disaponted me at first (like victimezed and UIB), after more listening, there're too Fu*** awesome !!

I have just one question, I'm 99% sure Chester gonna be rapping on 1 song, but wich one?

    Thanks

(Sorry for my English and orthograph, I'm French ^^)

http://www.underthegunreview.net/2012/06/21/review-linkin-park-living-things/ ........so this person says that this album lacks lyrical depth in comparison to the music that goes with it.......I'm thinking to myself.....are you high? I find it funny that some of the people who review the album don't know the name of the songs and also don't spell correctly...I'm not a spelling nazi by any means but when they are giving a review they should take time to at least listen to it fully and give an honest good review.

Okay, so it's come out in Australia now and I gotta say: "A Thousand Suns" still represents the peak of Linkin Park's prowess (in my opinion).

That said, "Living Things" is still a solid entry and I'll be needing a couple of re-listens to begin formulating my opinion on the album. Who knows, perhaps the details will elevate it higher than ATS!

I highly recommend to everyone that you listen to a CD quality version of this record. Complete difference in my opinion. Loved it a lot more, and started liking certain songs a lot more, such as I'll Be Gone.

How can you listen to Linkin Park, not liking the vocal interplay?

    Very interesting ranking.

Having listened to it 13+ times now I'll say it's a mixed bag, like MTM. Maybe a little stronger overall, but hasn't got a track as good as TLTGYA.

Lost in the Echo - Very good opening track. 7.5/10
In My Remains - I don't find much interesting here beyong the vocal. 5.5/10
Burn it Down - Bland, soulless. 4/10
Lies Greed Misery - I've actually warmed up to this. 6/10
I'll Be Gone - I feel much the same about this as IMR. 6/10
Castle of Glass - This is where things really get going, a little too late unfotunately. 8/10
Victimized - I was expecting to like this a lot less. 7/10
    Roads Untravelled - 8/10
    Skin To Bone - 7.5/10
Until It Breaks - I don't even care that this isn't really about anything. 7.5 maybe 8/10
Tinfoil/Powerless - Don't really get the hype over this, fairly average/unremarkable beyond the lyrics. 6/10

    Overall - 6.5/10

We'll see how that changes, if it does at all, over the next few months.

    Most solid front to back:
    ATS>HT>MTM/LT>>>>>>>>>>Meteora
