What, to you of course, is the band that you like, no matter how much they try, sound horrible live? It would probably be a tie between Disturbed and Chester Bennington. Sorry LPers, Chester just sounds off live. Mike sounds okay. and.....go!
Chester can be on and off. He sounded bad for like r2r in 2007 but he sounded great last year for the ATS tour but it seems like he's lost it again. Idk man. I can see where your coming from. Also, Chris Cornell is aweful.
I watched MTV World Stage in Moscow. His voice was perfect, I don't think he missed a note. Now, on concerts, like the one in Berlin or the MySpace one, he sounded amazing. We'll see how he will sing the new songs on HCT.
I disagree, I thought he sounded bad during the x games streaming. When he tried to sing soft it just wasn't there.
I think he mostly sounds bad during like the early 2000s tours. But there they toured a LOT of places, so it's understandable for their to be fatigue. Even then, he sounds awesome. Like in the House of Blues in 01
I think Chester sounds weakest in the bands early days, and better now. No, his voice may not be as powerful, but it sure as hell sounds better. Also, to keep the thread moving, a band who is very guilty of sucking that ass live: SUM 4FUCKING1
You know who disagrees with you? The part of Guns N' Roses that matters. The first-best being of course the original.
The fuck? One Hot Minute was an amazing album. Too many RHCP fans give it hate because it's not John Frusciante.
One Hot Minute is everything but an amazing album. Californication, BSSM and Stadium Arcadium are such masterpieces that One Hot Minute doesn't even come close. Btw. I love Josh, so it can't be because he's not Frusciante.
I'd take By The Way over Californication any day. Yeah, I said it. I actually will go as far as to say it's my favorite album by the band. One Hot Minute stands out to me because the presence of Dave Navarro made everyone else's songwriting skills shine even more, mostly due to Flea and Anthony attempting to do most of the work. Some of the best bass lines Flea has ever created can be found on that album.
Californication is my favourite RHCP album because it just has an amazing vibe, slower, harder songs, every one of them is amazing. The fact that Dave Navarro is not on the album, and Frusciante is has nothing to do with it. By The Way isn't their best album, in my opinion. Anyway, I'll see them live in a month, and I'll see how they sound live.
I dropped that argument already. You're on old news. And I never included YOU in the group anyways. Read more carefully. I said "Too many fans". As someone who has seen them live many times, it's a treat. I haven't seen any performances with Josh as the lead guitarist though. I find it'd be hard to replace the epic Frusciante + Flea jams. Anyways, stop getting off topic.
I have to say, Chris Cornell does sound pretty bad live. He has his good days and bad. I've seen Coheed & Cambria 3 times live and 2/3 time were pretty bad. Puddle of Mudd sounds horrible live.
