I am so excited right now for this movie. I can't make the premiere or the day after because I'm waiting on a friend. So Saturday for my movie. But damn, I'm pumped. I've watched both Batmans and Inception to prep.
I re-bought the 2 earlier movies, this time on Blu-Ray. I'm also listening to the reviews on http://nowplayingpodcast.com
They have not reviewd it yet, they do it after it's released in a "weekend of release" episode. Tomorrow (tuesday) they review The Dark Knight, last week they reviewd Batman Begins and they reviewd ALL the previous Batman movies made.
I gonna go into this movie with no expectations, and for that I will watch Batman and Robin (Schumacher) before watching The Dark Knight Rises I know this movie will do well but I don't want to have big expectations.
I watched BB & TDK over the weekend for the first time in ages. They hold up really well, I'll probably watch them again before the week is out. Currently at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. 38 reviews counted (32 fresh, 6 rotten), in the end there'll be nearly 300 reviews counted. Average score of 8.8/10. For comparrison: Begins is 85% fresh. Average 7.7/10 TDK is 94% fresh. Average 8.4/10
I want to watch BB and TDK really badly...but my friends and I bought tickets to this 3 movie marathon that our movie theater is hosting. Starting at 6:30 they're showing BB, then TDK, then Rises at midnight. SO EXCITED
They're doing that at my theater, too! I was going to see it in IMAX but the nearest theater is an hour away and my ride bailed. I'll be lucky if I can just see it at the local cinema. SO EXCITED ALSO
"The HUB is airing no less than 10 episodes of Batman: The Animated series this Friday, July 20th at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT. To promote the event, they have created a video that is just like the trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises but with clips from the show and the show's voice talent. You can check it out below!" The most interesting part about this video are the original voice actors' contribution.
Youtube is streaming the European Premiere Live from London right now, if anyone is interested in watching it: http://www.youtube.com/warnerbrosuktrailers?feature=inp-lt-bat
That has to be one of the coolest red carpets ever...the flaming Batman logo is badass. Also Morgan Freeman is there so tough to beat that
