I heard this earlier today. So sick. While it'll be hard to follow up their impressive debut, I have no doubt that they'll be able to.

 

I'll definitely have to check into this. The first single sounds great.

 

really looking forward to this. Recently seen them Live in Poland at a Festival were theyve played Angels live. Really Impressive.

 

Now I've gotta go look that up.

 

Their first album is pretty damn boring, a couple of tracks aside. I prefer Jamie on his own.

 

I like this new single more than any song off their debut lp. So I'll chek it out.

It's not bad, but it's not necessarily anything groundbreaking for them.

 

Love love love this album. Builds on the sound from their first album in subtle but significant ways. I especially like all of the layering of sounds in songs like Reunion. Likely to be my AOTY.

 

Really boring after the first two songs.

 

If you're going into a The xx album expecting exciting, you're going to be disappointed. Just saying.

 

Wow. I just heard of this band, and I must say, it's just awesome music. I love the bare sound they have, kind of like John Mayer with a bit of electronics.

 

First album was good, I fear the new album will be a complete rehash though.

 

Just listened to it. I feel like it's a complete rehash and honestly, not even as interesting as the first album. I am very disappointed.

I'll give it a few more spins though.

 

Just gave it a first listen, "Angels" is still awesome, "Sunset" was another standout for me.

 

More of the same. :/

 

^ When the original was such great stuff, I don't mind that it doesn't sound significantly different. Calling it a rehash is definitely inaccurate though; give it a few more spins and you'll hear a lot of new sounds. I especially like the grooves on Tides/Reunion, etc.

 

I've only heard the first three songs and I love them. need to hear the rest of the cd

thanks but ive already heard it, good cd but nowhere as near as good as their first cd
