We KNOW 100% that CoG will be a single. That is guaranteed from the sticker. There's NO ARGUING about that. If you don't like that, sucks, because it's going to be. As for other singles, In My Remains is very likely due to its radio popularity. LP has had a almost always 5 single album cycle so if we were to see any other songs Powerless is likely choice. Skin To Bone is not single material and neither is Roads Untraveled sadly. I'll Be Gone is the only single worthy song on this album but I really hope it is not. As for order, I am going to bet that Castle of Glass will be the last single.
I think that there will be a fourth single and it will be a battle between In My Remains and I'll be gone.I hope In my remains will be a single. I think that the only reason they will make CoG a single is because they want to show something different to the people and bring some new fans.
Well Burn it Down and Lost in the Echo are the first two and those were no-brainers to me, even if Burn it Down wasnt a pre-album release. You could also argue LGM was a single for its airplay on Zane Lowe or whathaveyou. Anyways, I think CoG will be #3. Its the most melodic song LP has ever done. After that, potentially Powerless and/or I'll Be Gone, although Id prefer In My Remains.
LITE will be a good single, I think. I'm almost positive that COG will become a single around October, and then they will possibly pick a last single in 2013. I think there will be 4 singles from the album. I think the last one will be IMR or IBG, kind of obvious what the single material tracks on the album are.
After LITE I could see I'll Be Gone, In My Remains, or Powerless as singles. Honestly I can't see any of the other songs being singles.
Why so much hate for I'LL BE GONE? Its the best track on the album, IMR is so boring and the military style drumming doesnt help it anymore
For me personally, the guitar is just too obnoxiously loud for one thing, which really makes it difficult to hear Chester clearly in the chorus. The other is that it's a little too safe. Whereas unlike yourself, In My Remains still feels explosive and fresh to me. The bridge is one of my favourite moments on the album, and in Linkin Park's music period.
LT doesn't have so much single material. IMR, BID and IBG sound so much alike, and I don't think they'd release the songs that sound the same for singles... So, BID, LITE, CoG, and if they decide for one more, Powerless...
Most likely Castle of Glass, seeing as how on the CD package it has a sticker saying "featuring Burn It Down, Lost in the Echo, and Castle of Glass." Personally I would absolutely love to see Powerless become a radio single.
