So Decay presented me with Woodkid and I enjoyed it. I am looking for somewhat relatively new music that's unique. I really don't want anything generic that I've heard a million times. Any genres welcome. Suggestions please?

Triggerfinger (alternative-rock, be sure to check out their I Follow Rivers cover) Selah Sue (soul, reggae) dEUS (indie-rock band) Hooverphonic Daan (this guy has done a lot of genres. Be sure to check out Houswife, very interesting sounding song) All Belgian artists. I picked Belgian artists because I figured you wouldn't really know them. As for other music: Kids & Explosions (if you're into sampled music) Gold Panda Placebo Icona Pop (mostly for their instrumentals) Gorillaz (or everything what Damon Albarn has done, his sound is awesome. His going solo now as a matter of fact) Crosses (!) White Lies City and Colour (this guy has a fucking great voice) The Chemical Brothers The Glitch Mob Gotye (he's also Belgian but I'm sure you already know the guy. However, he has some pretty weirdass music) I guess that's about enough music
Active Child: "Hanging On" Childish Gambino: "Silk Pillow" Phantogram: "Don't Move" Spacebrother x Tokyo Police Club: "Favourite Food" (Spacebrother Remix) Twin Shadow: "Patient" The Glitch Mob: "Animus Vox" Kanye West: "Lost In The World"

Klayton is god!... Next to Tim Mcilrath, Serj Tankian and Maynard! Oh and if you haven't heard Gotye's album Making Mirrors i suggest you do so.
I'd really recommend this as well:
You live down state right? And I guess were lost here in MI. WIth the exception of Hip-Hop. And thanks so much everyone. If you have more, I welcome them; as well as anyone else that hasn't suggested anything yet.
What's that they say about great minds? Jump on the Madeon train while the bandwagoners have yet to get on, so you can be all :hipsterdecay: about it in years to come
Maps and Atlases are a progressive/pop/folk/math band from Chicago. These guys are some of the most talented musicians out there. On top of that, they're some of the nicest, coolest guys you'll ever meet. They typically have two types of song. Their older, more technical, intense songs, and their newer, folky, emotional songs that still keep some of their old technicality. Older mathy technical stuff More recent folk/pop stuff
Sure do, and looks like. Anywho, I dunno if this is the sort of weird you're looking for, but:
