Skin to Bone Numb No More Sorrow Lost in the Echo (the rap parts, ugh) Victimized Wretches and Kings (good instrumentals, but I just dont like any of the lyrics) Bleed It Out
Worst LP lyrics on each album..IMO.. HT - By Myself MT - Nobody's Listening (People never say this song, the chorus lyrics are bad) MTM - Hmm... Maybe BIO.. Even though I like it a lot. It's hard to choose from this time period. ATS - Hard question..maybe Wretches.. LT - LITE, even though I love it
I like this Idea: HT: By Myself MT: Hit the Floor MTM: I guess No More Sorrow (I used to like it a lot but have grown out of the song, still like it some but not nearly as much)) ATS: Robot Boy I guess, hard decision. LT: Burn it Down
Somewhere I Belong: the chorus. Seriously the worst piece of shit LP has written. It ruins the entire song like no other. The melody doesn't help either. The song's only redeeming quality is the instrumental especially the intro and maybe Mike's flow.
If we are going by each album HT - Runaway (Though they improved on it greatly with Reanimation) M - Somewhere I Belong (I wanna heal, I wanna feel, I want an orange to peel.) MTM - Given Up / No More Sorrow (I'm sure I'll get a lot of shit on this one, and I actually enjoy Given Up, but the lyrics to both of these songs are just awful) ATS - Wretches And Kings (I'm split with this song. While the lyrics are god awful, the beat is just orgasmic.) LT - Lost In The Echo (Y'all go hard, I go smart ; Can't be stopped / All I know, go hard. Really Mike, you couldn't catch that [and apparently still can't catch it playing live] when you wrote the song?)
This made me LOL. Anyway: HT: By Myself - Love the song, still. M: Somewhere I Belong MTM: Bleed It Out - Too simple, I could write a better chorus ATS: Love everything, don't know. LT: I'll Be Gone - Just don't get the lyrics
HT - Runaway (I think the verses in By Myself are actually REALLY well written in that it describes a catch 22 social situation pretty damn well) M: Somewhere I Belong (But also, everything) MTM: No More Sorrow. Not just the lyrics, but as a whole I seriously can't stand this song. ATS: W&K although I love the instrumental LT: IMR and IBG. Seriously awful songs.
Bleed It Out and Nobody's Listening have sick verses...don't think they deserve to be even considered worst lyrics. Not too many songs from HT or Meteora are very strong lyrically, tbh
HT - By Myself (Not exactly sure wtf he's saying even when I know the lyrics) M - Hit The Floor, Nobody's Listening (The songs themselves are pretty bad, too.) MTM - All the lyrics are perfect in this. ATS - Wretches & Kings (This is probably the cause of whats happening in Syria, lol. I like the song, but the lyrics are crap) LT - Until It Breaks (Just... no.)
I like Chester's and Brad's parts and the part they use of WFTE, but that song is just plain weird. It was ok at first, but the lyrics just...
The lyrics are about How Mike is dope and a hard worker despite being on a crappy record label and how you couldn't possibly do the shit he's done. Where is WFTE in this song?
I'm not sure. I think don't stay. Yeah, what's wrong with APFMH? The song (lyrics) is fucking awesome!!! I also like the lyrics of Papercut, and probably 95% of their other songs...
Numb, Somewhere I Belong, and Don't Stay are all pretty terrible. Most of Meteora is just plain awful in the lyric department. Hybrid Theory is no thought-provoking masterpiece either but Meteora was like twenty steps down in the lyric department from its predecessor. At least it had Breaking the Habit.
I used to think the same thing, but it's actually pretty cool that it has the double parental meaning thing going on. That being said, it would have been nice if they would've added just a few more words to the chorus. Worst lyrics in their discography imo are the rap in KTTK. I mean, there's not even any bass banging low.
