My cross country season has started, and before every race I listen to a playlist to get me pumped up for my race - recently it's included a few LP songs. So I was wondering if it happens for you guys: Which Linkin Park song(s) get you in the zone to run, workout, compete, etc.? For me, Lost In The Echo gets me really ready to go - that bridge's rapping really gets me pumped! Bleed It Out's second verse is the same way. I also listen to When They Come for Me to get ready as well.
POA, it always pumps me up when I'm training. Especially during the "forfeit the game" part. With that riff, I'm just thinking 'NO FREAKING WAY!" and and I'm getting more motivated.
The Catalyst had incredible buildup. I don't listen to LP when I'm lifting weights, but when I run, that one would always be on my playlist. It started out slow, but by the end of the song (after you've been running a few minutes) there was more than enough energy to pump you up. Lost In The Echo, Victimized, Lying From You, and Papercut are all really good for that too. Wretches and Kings would be, but the speech slows the tempo down too much in my opinion.
It used to be Lying From You when I'd use it to get pumped up for basketball games. That was a long time ago, though.
Bleed it Out would be the song I'd listen to to hype me up for my races, but I consistently forgot to bring my ipod to meets
The Catalyst. Others: Points of Authority, Wretches And Kings, What I've Done, Crawling. And every fast, aggressive song.
I have playlist for working out, consists of papercut, points of authority, faint, breaking the habit, numb, no more sorrow, given up, what i've done, waiting for the end, the catalyst, wretches, wtcfm, BIT, LGM, IBG, And a mix of fort minor and DBD songs
I don't know why, but Breaking The Habit always gives me strenght to do all kind of things. Anyway, in general the whole Reanimation is a Pumping Up album.
