There are days when I hear wrong and other ones when I hear right, you're on point. I think it's right on the rap and overlayed with wrong again.
I like Brads part, and i think it would be nice if brad will sing in some other songs in future too. The rap of mike in this song is perfect. I love the texts of lp songs!
For me the whole meaning to this song is about hard work and being brave and having courage to do your best. The part where Brad sings, "We swim against the rising waves, and crash against the shore. The body Bends until it breaks, the early morning sings no more." expresses dedication and working until your body breaks. The "waves" is a metaphor in which it represents your struggles, while "crashing" is literal. He goes on and continues by singing. "So rest your head, it's time to sleep, and dream of what's in store. The body bends until it breaks, then sings again no more.", this expresses of, "take it easy, you have worked hard today, go on and save your energy for life is too short." When this is taken into this context: "Because time has torn the flesh away, the early morning sings no more", makes a lot more sense, don't you think?
I liked it fine, but that's mainly because I was surprised at how well Brad could actually sing. But if I'm really honest, I would have preferred Chester to do that part, as he barely sung on that song.
No, just no. Brad is the perfect for that song. I'm sick of Chester taking over every song. I mean LOATR, TLTGYA or the HHH on live shows. I want the other guys sing too, not just him.
Lol I though that too honestly. How can you be sick of the lead singer singing? And it's not like the other guys were all talented singers anyway...Even Brad is not that good I think, he just happened to sound good on this particular song and melody
And my favorite part of the song is Chester's part. Although I LOVE the rap verses and find them one of the record's highlights.
I personally like it. Its not the conventional song structure as most Linkin park songs and Brad really tops it off with singing at the end. I would like to hear more from him
