I wouldn't necessarily say it's their best track, but it did have one of the best music videos they've put out in a long time.
I feel like if it was longer, it would get boring. The track is a little repetitive, you gotta admit. And that's why I like that it's shorter.
Both Castle of Glass and Roads Untraveled are repetitive, as some folks pointed out, but honestly it doesn't bother me the slightest.
No. It's a great song but there are better ones: Papercut, When They Come For Me, With You, Roads Untraveled, etc.
I have the strong feeling that you associate mellow/melodic music with good music, and agressive music with bad music, don't you? I don't think it's the case however. One is not superior to another, they're just different. Your preference towards mellow music doesn't make mellow music superior. I personnaly prefer POA to Castle Of Glass/Iridescent/WFTE for example. I find the riff and Chester's vocals in that song way more interesting and fun to listen to than any elements in the others songs.
I love Blackout and Points of Authority. Two of my favourite LP songs and they aren't mellow. I don't think agressive is bad.
I don't think so. My opinion is that Lost in the echo is their best song, because I think it includes the best elements of LP: Electronic, Rap, Shout and rock too and of course an amazing intro. When i listened to LT the first time and Lost in the echo started i only thought "WOW!" But COG is a good song anyway, and of course one of the 5 best of LT. But I think they have amazing old songs like Lying from you or A place for my head too, not only ATS and LT tracks are amazing.
No, don't blame Minus. Minus was correct in that A Thousand Suns is Linkin Park's best song to date, and yes it is technically just one song as evidence by ATS - The Full experience being released as one track. So, ATS > Everything else.
