As far as I know, this doesn't exist. Just something that randomly popped up on Wikipedia at one point. This one has been floating around for years under a couple different titles. Yes, it's different than the album version, it was on Cyclefly's Myspace page at one point. The most notable difference is the sound of the drums, and some of Chester's backing vocals are slightly different. I'm not sure when it started being referred to as the "Bill Appleberry Remix" because the mp3 I have of it from when it was first released is just labeled "Karma Killer (Alternate Mix)" or something to that effect. Song co-written by Joe that was supposed to appear on Uncle Kracker's album "Happy Hour," but the original tracklisting for that album was scrapped when the album's producer changed, and the song has never been released. It was briefly featured as background music in an episode of The Hills on MTV, and SUPPOSEDLY an early promo version of the album with the song on it exists, but I've never found evidence to support that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QDtOrScTm0 - This is the only clip of Joe's remix that exists, it was a bonus feature on one of the DVDs. More or less identical to the regular version, just without some of the special effects (such as the "FM" logo appearing in the smoke at one point).

i thought maybe the sample is not recording from the show and was realsed before the show (don't know why..), but i ifound out this line "All songs recorded live during Live 8, 2005." in discogs.com description. so this is it. thank you. i think they only talked about cooperation but did not start recording.
