I've always been a great fan of BFMV, and their latest album was released about a month ago: Tracklist: 1. Breaking Point - 00:00 2. Truth Hurts - 3:42 3. Temper Temper - 7:19 4. P.O.W. - 10:29 5. Dirty Little Secret - 14:22 6. Leech - 19:17 7. Dead to the World - 23:17 8. Riot - 28:32 9. Saints & Sinners - 31:22 10. Tears Don't Fall (Part 2) - 34:52 11. Livin' Life (On the Edge of a Knife) - 40:30 I think some of the songs are awesome, like Tears Don't Fall Part 2, Leech and P.O.W, but they're all definitely different from their previous albums, especially The Poison, which I think it's a masterpiece. What do you guys think of this new not-so-heavy-metal direction of the band?
I like the record! Temper Temper and Riot weren't really promising, but the album ended up being pretty good. I think it could even be heavier than Fever. So I'm a bit confused by your question.
Growing up with The Poison and Scream Aim Fire, I was disappointed by this one. Fever wasnt all that bad, Your Betrayal is awesome. But this new record, just really weak. To each their own I guess, and I respect them for taking it in a new direction, I just don't like it. The lyrics suck, the riffs are the same old same old, and they don't have very catchy hooks like they used to. I'll give it a 4.5/10.
When I listen to a song like 'Room 409' from The Poison and then i listen to any song from this new album, especially 'Temper Temper', i see two totally different bands. So yes, I think they're pretty much in a new direction.
^Word for word, for night of neptune. The new sound is garbage. Almost seems like theyre advertising that their new music is 100%-label generated if you know what I mean.
