Yeah. That's really dumb if he knows he's being recorded. I really like both of those plugins though. Ohmicide is a great distortion plugin. Sylenth is what all the posers get to try and sound like Pendulum or Skrillex, including me. Unfortunately you still need talent to make good music and not just good plugins.

Ever since the controversy occurred, the "A Light That Never Comes" trailer is now an unlisted video on Youtube.

Steve Aoki recently wrote a blog post about the issue, and clarify that he had nothing to do with the pirated version. Thanks to Derek for the link.

Is this thread necessary after the issue's been clarified by the man himself? The thing was on the laptop he used for the ROAD, and the equipment he uses to write and record counts with its regular software.

And BTW I linked the blog post on the shoutbox

So I guess that the answer is a resounding "yes", so, we're done here. :)

    Whoops. My bad. :p Sorry.

Since Mr. Aoki already cleared it up, you have my permission to close this thread.

Poor Steve, he doesn't need this crap when he's about to release the most exciting thing of his career.
Piracy really isn't a big deal in music production folks, everyone overcharges and you can quite easily spend a grand on plugins.
