Anyone else think that the M-60 is for Jack and the crew, and the ricin is for Gretchen and Elliot Schwartz?
Hal becomes an informant in the FBI witness protection program. Jesse becomes a street racer.
Got funyuns from Jesse. Got 'Americone Dream' from Todd. Got classic coke from Walt, as well as getting a pepperoni party pizza tomorrow. I'm ready for the Finale. I can't wait. Tomorrow is the ending of the greatest show to ever grace television, IMO.
This week flew fucking by. The one before Granite State wouldn't get there any sooner. Get ready for the end brothers. THIS IS IT
"Did you ever hear the philosophy that once a man admits that he’s wrong, that he is immediately forgiven for all wrongdoings?" - Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction. A lot of this episode reminded me of Pulp Fiction.
Not sure what to think about the ending. I'm like dumbfounded right now. I will watch Talking Bad and re-watch the Finale and post again. It wasn't a bad ending.
LOVED it. The re-humanization of Walter after spending 5 seasons deconstructing his humanity. Fantastic.
No money for his family. Yes it would suck for them but it is the better story. It should have been all for nothing, he admitted he did it for himself and yet here we are, also he should live in misery for all his days for all he has done. But I didn't hate the ending and I do like the episode, not the best imho but still good. Im just tired of how shows feel they have to redeem characters in the end, it happens all the time and it annoys me.
EDIT: Just rewatched it, I actually love the ending. I'm happy that Skyler and Walter Jr will get the 9 million legally from Gretchen and Elliot. I'm happy that Jesse got away alive.. he deserved to, more than any of the other characters, and I loved how he was the one who got to kill Todd himself. I think how Walt put the M-60 in the trunk to fire at them was a great idea and I'm happy they all got taken out. I was sad to see Walt go, but I guess it is better for him that he got to die 'peacefully' in a way, instead of dying of cancer in prison or whatever else. The only thing I wish that had happened was that they pushed for a longer time slot for the final episode, and also that they incoporated the entire two flashfowards into the final episode instead of showing small clips of them. Hopefully with the DVD release, they will have a uncut final episode with those scenes in full. The BB Box Set comes out on November 26th, with 55 hours of extra footage and stuff, I can't wait to purchase that. Breaking Bad lives on in a way. Lol. Anyways, FANTASTIC show, the best show I have ever seen and probably ever will. I'll never forget Breaking Bad..
Also, Walt finally made Jesse that robot in the desert and it ended up saving him. (I mean it's kind of a robot. Simple mechanism type thing.)
Well... shit. It's over! What a fucking way to go out, that was an awesome episode and a great good bye to the show. I will of course miss it. It is/was one of the best shows on TV and just in general.
The ending seemed quite anticlimactic and bittersweet for me. Plotwise it was great and brought the show to a smooth ending but in the back of my mind I guess I was expecting some Gus-like twist to happen. Oh well, it was still brilliant. Very sad but fitting ending. - Post finale Talking Bad. Pretty awesome:
Good episode. The season felt hollow as a whole. Too many rushed time jumps, among other things. The flash-forwards hurt the storytelling process. It didn't have the impact of season 4 or 5 when characters were acting in character and time wasn't as erratic. Season 6 felt like a long jump to the finish. Having the bad guys be the gang that Mike didn't see as any threat whatsoever felt lame as well. The story could have gone a much more interesting route, but I'm pleased enough with the quality. I'm left wanting more, however. Even with the loose ends tied up I feel empty inside.
