Did you ever notice that these artists are completely different from each other but their albums kind of follow the same trends? College Dropout, Late Registration, Hybrid Theory, and Meteora: for each individual they follow the same kind of sound which is the sound they introduced themselves as to the world. Graduation, Minutes To Midnight: a fresher sound, a more unique sound that had a more stadium-based, radio anthem sound 808's & Heartbreak, A Thousand Suns: completely left field of anything they've done before but only tiny hints of the original sound MBTWF, Living Things: something new while reflecting on stuff from the past Yeezus: completely left field again
I don't know. As far as much of his fans and critics are concerned, "Twisted Fantasy" is Kanye's best album to date by a long shot. ;P
In terms of career progression, there are numerous other bands/artists you could compare LP to other than Kanye West. Kanye is a self-absorbed, delusional nutcase. No one in LP fits that description.
If Kanye says that rap is rock and roll, and that he is the king of rock and roll, I cannot respect him. Plus I hate his music.

There are plenty of people here in Chicago that I dislike. Before it gets out of hand, let me say that my shock post was to get a rise out of people. That's it. People started throwing out Beiber's name like this is some kind of Youtube comment thread. Anyways, I will say that Beiber is talented, even though I despise him way more than I do with Kanye. He did write his own songs and made a name for himself. Good for him. Even though he may be talented, I personally don't like any of his music. Enough about Beebs. As far as Kanye goes, yes he is talented as well and I do like some of his songs, even though I get the hint that he is a scum-bag.
No hold on! Let's put the fact that both sad excuses for human beings aside. Justin Bieber sings, plays a multitude of instruments, and (I'm reluctant to add) dances. Kanye at best is good at one thing, rapping. And that is absolutely subjective. So yes, Bieber is in fact more talented.
All I can say is, if you are even remotely interested in hip-hop, R&B, or pop music, I can almost guarantee Kanye produced one of your favorite songs in the past decade. Not only that, but I would argue he brings more heart and soul to his songs / lyrics than LP and many other artists today.
Now Imma let you finish, but LP has the most soul and feelings in their music than anyone of all time. Of all time!
