    Sad but true.
But the song is 4 minutes long even without his verse. That is pretty long for a radio version.

I think they really wanted to show the world that they meant "high energy" for real and hence didn't cut any instrumentals.

Hopefully they do something like last time, with all those puzzles we had to solve. That was fun

Well Mike did ask on Twitter who would have the "Chutzpah" (balls) to play the full version and Ted Stryker from KROQ said he would play the full thing today.

I'm starting to think Mike is the one with the split personality, not Joe. Writes WID, then says goes opposite that for ATS ("I'm not on some WID type shit), then writes BID/LT, then says rock isn't aggressive enough and writes this. Dudes at war with himself.

Also, someone please photoshop Mike and/or Chester's head on a Carnotaurus.

Yeah, theoretically. As I said last night, it being 6 minutes is as much a statement of intent for the rest of the album as The Catalyst was for ATS.

Although, I suppose the lead singles were all indicative of what to expect from their respective albums, though in very different ways.

Just go, man. Let it happen.

Legit metal riffing, raw vocals, 6 minutes, a guitar solo...yet it still sounds unmistakably like Linkin Park. I love this.

Yea this song just doesnt do much for me unfortunately... I give them kudos for putting some edge in the new material but is it just me or did the song seem under produced and sorta just thrown together. I was really hoping for like a hybrid theory part 3 (with the maturity of a thousand suns) but unfortunately i think well be getting a minutes to midnight part 2. At least judging by this song...

I don't think they wanted to over produce their songs like in LT. They wanted the raw feel and that's what this gives. They've been hinting that from Mike's studio update last month.
The MTM part 2 would your opinion so I won't counter that.

And while im thinking about it does anybody else think its a little weird that mikehad to convince brad to play guitar again? I mean i dont think i would want a guitar player in my band that wasnt passionate about his instrument. Right?

On the past two albums he's been more of a producer, still heavily involved in the creative process though.

I just hope the album has more soft or not-so-heavy songs rather than an album full of super heavy music.

I agree with all of this. Chester said if we liked GATS, we will crap our pants when listening to the album

    Rakim look to raw

Then came Mike, took over production and told him to go back to his goddamn GUITARZ. :WTF:

I love that song pretty much and I'm super happy, that they didn't went deeper into disco sounds. In my personal music collection I would sort the song into "Speed Metal" genre. My only criticism is, that the rap part doesn't fit into the song in my opinion. But I heard, there exist a version without rapping also.

    Wow @ Today!

So glad there is a version without Rakim he totally ruins the song! I have to download this and delete the album version when the album comes out so I can pretend he just doesn't exist. Apart from that, pretty awesome song! Stoked to finally have some heavy music again!
