My top songs that I would want a demo for is: When they come for me - the demo was called "dingleberry" and there was a part of the dingleberry demo in one of the ATS LPTV episodes. The demo was never released. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nTwucTKC9Ss Castle of Glass- Mike said sometime in an interview that castle of glass was once 6:00 long. The longer version is heard on the castle of glass music video. Given Up- it would be a cool demo Burn it down- would be cool but it might have sounded like crap The messenger- would be cool What's your thoughts.
That was in reference to the original A Thousand Suns-era demo of Tinfoil/Powerless, not Castle of Glass. The version of Castle of Glass in the music video was created specifically for the music video.
I really wish there would officaly release the music video version, I really love it. On the topic of Powerless, wasn't there a third part to Powerless that was supposed to be between Tinfoil and Powerless that got cut off of Living Things literally at the last minute?
All of them most likely, at least a majority of them, starting with Lost in the Echo and ending at Castle of Glass. Castle of Glass is great, but it's just too damn short. I would really like to see a Living Things demo album.
Hands Held High Burning In The Skies Iridescent Hit The Floor Lost In The Echo Until It Breaks With You
I'd love to hear an In Pieces demo. Not only is it a top favourite but I'd especially like to see whether they had a guitar solo planned for the bridge all along or not. Bleed It Out with alternate lyrics would be pretty sick as well. Blackout with those beautifully chaotic verses Chester threw in during the LPTV preview of it would be a dream to listen to. Finally The Catalyst. A song that goes under such a transformation from start to finish must have had some interesting demos. Not to mention the intriguing "Violent Lullaby" demo title.
I can't choose since there's so many for me, but off the top of my head: Iridescent - favorite LP song, definitely wanted to see the very early stages of it The Little Things Give You Away - how did this beauty come about? Guilty All the Same - obvious reason being this is the new song lol Waiting For The End - THIS. I MUST LISTEN TO MEADOWLANDS In fact. All of the ATS demos that weren't included in the LPUs - Please? I just want to hear them so freaking bad.
I would love to listen to - Meadowlands: "Waiting For The End" - Given Up demo - Blackout demo - Cloverleaf: "CASTLE OF GLASS" - Victorious: "A Light That Never Comes" - SKIN TO BONE demo - No Roads Left w/Chester's vocals (Might not be a demo, but its an absolute must for me). - Leave Out All The Rest demo (The one heard on The Making of MTM) - Violent Lullaby: "The Catalyst" - VICTIMIZED demo (The whole gang singing along as shown in the making of LT)
I'd like to know whether they have more of those songs like Across the Line, What We Don't Know or Pretend to Be. If they did, that'd be cool.
I think Asbestos sounds pretty much like the Given Up demo (or at least an early version of it) , the songs blends in really well with Given Up if they're mashed together.
I would really love to hear the early version of Numb, we never really got any info much about the early version of it or how it came about
Specifically, I'd love to here early versions of... Don't Stay Numb Given Up Bleed It Out Shadow Of The Day (With the electro banjo or other random instruments they tried with it) Waiting For The End Blackout The Catalyst IN MY REMAINS CASTLE OF GLASS (Original 'folk' version) ROADS UNTRAVELED (Original 'folk' version) SKIN TO BONE (Original 'folk' version) POWERLESS (Original 6 minute version)
