This to me is the most exciting thing. Some of us may have had some concerns that all of these heavier songs were going to be hard to differentiate, and that we were going to get another album like Meteora where all of the songs sound the same. Doesn't look like that is the case at all, which is fucking awesome. Expectations are sky high for THP.
Woah Woah. I didn't mean you. Sorry for that. I meant, what you said is exactly what those who love scrutinize the current LP would say. I was just using your statement as an example as to what those people would say to criticize the new song.
That snippet was amazing. If LP is going to use electronic or synth sounds this is how they should use it. Unlike LTs where it was overpowering, here it sort of compliments the rest of the track. That's what LTs should of sounded like. Also, even though the snippet was only a few seconds I'd like to point out how good Chester's voice sounded, in GATS he sounded kind of flat but he sounds a lot more emotional here. Which I'm glad, I was a little worried that he was starting to lose his voice after screaming for the last 15 years.
oh my god. I loved it so much. can't wait any longer, seriously. My expectations are so high right now!
I don't understand how anyone could perceive the song as being too electronic from this snippet. We've got raw, clear vocals from Chester, a live drum kit and actual guitars. There are literally like two electronic elements present in the snippet. I may be wrong, but I doubt the full song will be as electronic as, say, LITE.
Well, it might sound a little electronic heavy because it's there main single, it's supposed to draw people's attention on the radio. Not some full out scream that will make people cringe. BTW I have not listened to the snippet yet and will wait until tomorrow to hear the whole song not knowing what to expect
Wow, that clip has gotten me really hyped. I'll be playing this all day until i hear it tomorrow lol. But i'll be at work when it comes out booo-urns
Great snippet. I didn't think there'd be any screaming. Very pleasant surprise. I wish I was going to be at home when this premiered. I just hope it'll be posted somewhere for streaming after it's been premiered. If not, I'll have to wait until 9pm PST, assuming it's put up on iTunes/Amazon/etc. that night.
Is this one of the only synth heavy tracks then? Because emphasis has been placed on that element being pushed towards the back of the album's sound. As a synth player I'm interested in these things...
