A news post on linkinpark.com explains that the website will be revamped soon, and that we will be seeing a brand-new official Linkin Park site "in the coming week", presumably coinciding with the U.S. release of "The Hunting Party". The post also informs us that, like the last several versions of linkinpark.com, this upcoming incarnation of the site will prominently include community features. Existing users will soon be informed (via email) about backing up their account information to use on the upcoming new site, as those details will be lost during the changeover. Eventually, linkinparknetwork.ning.com will become the temporary official Linkin Park website address until the new site is prepared. No other details have been revealed just yet. Speaking of that, how come LPA doesn't have a makeover yet? We had this layout for the entire Living Things era. It's time for change.
We've been interested in it for a while but a redesign takes a lot of time and potentially costs. At this time, we're searching for someone to help us code the new site since Kaeton left the LPA
I figured the greyish layout with the distorted faces of the band was for ATS and I related the black layout for LT. I get it. It's ok, I switched it to LPA 4.5 Blue so there's a slight redesign.
As Zane said, Keaton left the LPA a few years ago and thus we no longer have anybody available on the staff of his caliber in order to do a proper re-design. Keaton's excellent work still can be utilized, but he charges for projects now (which he should, because he's good!)...and with our funds already limited with hosting, it regrettably isn't in the cards to just pay someone to rebuild the site. That being said, if anybody on the forums are incredibly gifted in web design & graphic design, and are familiar with the current web standards (CSS3 and HTML5) & are willing to help for free...give me a shout over PM. We want to redesign the site as much as you guys want us to, believe me!
There are so many talented musicians here, as is apparent from the remix contests. I'm guessing there must be atleast a few decent web design guys in here too. I hope somebody helps out. And yeah, a return to a "whiter" theme (resembling the album artwork) would be really cool.
Wasn't a fan of the previous site so this is good. Hopefully this one will be updated more often with new info on the bands activities.
