Ok guys. With this competition I want to determine the absolute LPA favorite LP song. The dynamic is pretty simple. Six different polls, one by album. When the polls conclude, I'll make a new poll with the six winners of each album. This poll is made to choose your Minutes to Midnight favorite song. The poll will conclude this monday, June 23th. Please feel free to discuss your opinions of the album, as well your thoughts on your favorite song
This one was hard for me to decide, Minutes to Midnight is my favorite Linkin Park album. Only song on the album that I don't care for is "Hands Held High". I'll have to pick "The Little Things Give You Away", but "What I've Done", "Shadow of the Day", and "Leave Out All the Rest" are very close.
In Pieces. The Little Things Give You Away and Hands Held High are really great too. But looks like LTGYA will easily win this one.
In Between was the song that allowed me to break out of the "heavy music is the only good music" phase of my life. I was enjoying a song that wasn't drowned in distorted guitars and that was a new feeling to me.
Go be an outcast elsewhere. There is no need for your false fact claims Lol, but in all seriousness, I don't like the song. Its too slow for me. I am a bigger fan of LP's faster and heavier side.
I'd have to go with Leave Out All the Rest, although The Little Things Give You Away is extremely close behind
For quite a personal reason, Shadow of the Day will always have a special place. After spending the majority of his life drunk and starting fights with almost everyone in the family, dad eventually found himself ill to a point of no return. He wrote a letter to me and my little bro which he said was to be opened at his funeral. Obviously he knew how much me and my bro loved LP, and when we opened it, all it said was "Sometimes solutions aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way". That was a tragic feeling at the time, but ultimately it was very true.
This soooooo fucking much. I think In Pieces will go on to become one of the band's greatest sleeper hits. It's just so subtle yet powerful. That said I still think The Little Things inches it out just slightly.
