No wonder why the intro to ALITS was better than the rest of the album. It was an ATS demo made by the more talented version of LP.
Stop the elitist bullshit. Just stop it. Being more mellow or more soft doesn't mean being more talented or better. Everytime, I Mean, EVERYTIME LP do something ballad-y, you act like it is the best thing ever. See: SOTD, Irridescent, Robot Boy, RU . And almost everytime LP goes heavier, you act like it is some inferior crap. "UIG? Would be better without the shitty heavy parts! Rebellion? Would be better without the bridge! ALITS? Would be better without the heavy parts!" I'm sure you don't even listen to heavy stuff at all outside of LP,and you're clearly 100% biased against it. Heavy guitars aren't appealing to you? Cool. Does that make them objectively shitty? No. You love ballads? Cool. Does that make them objectively better than everything else? No. So don't word your opinion like facts.
How did you guess? No, but seriously, he always praises mellow stuff and bashes heavy stuff. Like 99% of the time. That's fine but don't expect me to take "more talented version of LP" -type reflexions seriously when it comes off so biased.
There are some truly interesting factoids about THP here! I do wish we could have received more insight from other band members, though. At least Mike helped to shed light on some of the questions we had about the album as a whole. I think his comment on UIG regarding parents sending their kids off so they can reach their full potential may help explain some of the bizarre segues/transitions, such as The Summoning and UIG's outro. I still would like to know who the kid is in KTTK's outro, as Mike was quite vague about that.
I really love that part too(But Mark The Graves did it even better IMO). I just don't like the first chorus as it feels so out of place after Mike's soft singing. It fits much better after the rapping verse. Haha I wish Mike hadn't said that it was an ATS demo, now people are going to deep throat that album even more.
I also really like that..."Poem" sorry I have no idea what you call that in english. It really fits thatwhole theme of the album.
I heard somewhere that "the summoning" samples many classic LP tracks. Is this true? No matter how many times I hear it I can't pick anything out
My fav LP album is A thousand suns and one of my favs moments in THP is the opening/outro for ALITS, funny irony. Altough, amazing post bro!
I would like for that. There are so many aspects of it that sound like past tracks - but like you said, difficult to pick out. Additionally, folks, if you're going to express your opinions - don't be an ass about it. Everyone has opinions and you ought not criticize other people for holding other opinions. It's gotten close a couple of times in this thread, and I don't want to have to issue any infractions because of something so trivial.
Exactly the ATS fanboys are annoying.. they are like LP hipsters!! Just because ATS was the most hated album when it came out they started to say that it's their favorite like hipsters because it's cool to like what isn't selling much and it's cool to listen to the album that most people hate from Linkin Park xD
