In an act of kindness, and as a thank you for the support, Linkin Park has decided to upload and share a stripped down acoustic version of Final Masquerade for us fans to enjoy. Both Brad and Mike gave the quotes for the song. Check them out here below.

Finally a version of this song I love from the beginning to end. I love how it doesn't feel like the simplest possible acoustic version, but it somehow enhances the song experiece. I liked that a lot.

inb4 someone asks for an entire album/EP of these

I hate jumping on that, "LIVING THINGS should have been a folk album" boat, but there is no denying that they could easily make a solid album of only those stylized tracks. This is brilliant and just as great as the original track. Thank you Linkin Park.

This song proves that Linkin Park is capable of doing acoustic stuff. I'm pretty sure this is their first official studio acoustic recording? The Messenger doesn't count.

If Linkin Park does a full acoustic album of some of their songs the world would be a better place.

I'm fucking psychic or something. I was thinking to myself not even a week ago that an acoustic version of FM (and a legit reworking like this is, not a half-assed one that so many bands do) would be amazing, but LP would never do that
Also, fucking love this version much more than the original. I always wished the original featured Mike on more than just one of the harmonies. The alternating vocals and Mike and Chester harmonizing are definitely some things they should take advantage of in more of their songs. Gonna be bumping this track for a while.

I love that they kept it so raw. The timing of the harmonies are slighty off at some points.

It's nice that they left it like that - the human element. They could have scaled back the pitch correction though...

The acoustic guitar part is really nice too, sounds like Brad did it.

Holy fuck, that was beautiful. This definitely adds to the song. Would love to hear more songs like this in the future.

Hot damn, I would love for LP to scale it back a bit on LP7 and play more stuff similar to this. I want to hear Phoenix's cello skills shine in the future.
