"@TherealRyu I coulda swore I did a verse on the welcome song. Hmm"

Something is up here. Mike favorited the tweet, and there's no way Ryu was surprised that he didn't have a verse on the song (he was in the video...). At the minimum, I think there could be an extended version of Welcome that will be released featuring a Ryu verse.

Man, even after a song release, Mike continues to be a master troll. Ryu's just making us more suspicious.

Very odd. I don't mike would cut ryu's verse out but I'm pretty sure that he didnt have one in the first place. This was Mikes song from the beginning and I'm pretty sure that he wanted to do it alone. I wonder what ryu is saying then, is there more music??

Yeah, maybe an extended version or an album of Welcome remixes or something? Looking forward to "Welcome" Paul van Dyk Radio Edit - No Rap :kappa:

In my opinion, I don't think ryu would even sound good on this song. Am i the only one?

Thematically, I don't feel it'd be appropriate either.

He said he'd keep the door open for some new Fort Minor stuff.

Perhaps only to prevent a window from opening... :rastamike:

The live version, as heard on "Conan", is only the tiniest bit less "produced" than the studio version. 99% of it is the studio version on playback.

Yea I mostly mean his voice. On the studio version it sounds far to artificial and clean. His flow is much more natural live.

Yeah I really like the live version a lot better. Even the singing feels more natural.

Man. It's a great song. I mean it's not the best thing mikes ever written, not by a long shot, but it's classic Fort minor. Just with a modern twist - along with all the production skills he's learned these past 10 years. A perfect comeback single in every way

It's just more authentic feeling. I never really 'felt' Mike's tough-guy lyrics that he's been doing since LIVING THINGS (and possibly earlier), so it was nice to see a song that felt like it came more from the heart.

Yeah, thats it. I dunno, maybe the #VISCERAL music screams ( :shinado: ) for more tough-guyish rap lyrics. But its good to see that isnt the only thing that he can do right now :)

Looks like there will be a remix ft. Ryu. This is still unconfirmed though.

More FM is good by me. I'd take a FM album when Mike was 60 for all I care

    Hmm... Interesting.

Also, Ryu also posted this on his Instagram,

I guess Mike didn't really communicate with Ryu very well about how the whole Welcome thing was going to go down, it's not a surprise though, Mike claims the song was written in 3 days I guess he had little time? I dunno.

EDIT: For those who are lazy, here's what Ryu's description says:
