Panic! at the Disco hasn't been suggested and it's a damn shame.

I assume OP knows Panic

EDIT: OP probably knows 5SOS too but you can never be extra sure since they are a newer group.

If you're into pop punk, there's some great current wave bands:

The Wonder Years

Their albums The Upsides, Suburbia I've Given You All And Now I'm Nothing, and The Greatest Generation are all excellent.

The Story So Far

Their album Under Soil and Dirt is super replay-able and there's not one skippable song on it.

Knuckle Puck

Their EP's are pretty great and their debut album Copacetic, released this summer, wasn't a disappointment at all.

Wasn't a disappointment?

You are underselling this album like crazy, it's one of the best Pop Punk albums in years

You're not wrong... Saying it was "not a disappointment" is more a reflection of my surprise and gratefulness that Knuckle Puck actually matured musically and it worked. Something you don't see much in pop punk.

@GuliaLuna, I´ll recommend my favourites and also some bands I´ve been turning to:
Nightwish - Finnish Symphonic Metal Band, the most well known of the genre (I recommend listening to all 3 lead singers they´ve had) for example songs like Ghost Love Score, Dark Chest of Wonders, Nemo, Stargazers (all with Tarja), The Poet and The Pendulum, Sahara and Storytime (with Anette Olzon) and Élan, Our Decades In The Sun, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, The Greatest Show on Earth and Edema Ruh with Floor Jansen

Delain - Dutch Symphonic Metal band .Charlotte Wessels just amazes me with her voice, so powerful, well-paced and is great on slower songs. You can listen to songs like Stardust, Lullaby, April Rain,Stay Forever, We Are The Others, Babylon, The Hurricane, Chrysalis-The Last Breath and Invidia

Within Temptation - Dutch Symphonic Metal band which has some quite well known songs as Memories, Angels, Stand My Ground, Forgiven, Shot In The Dark, Faster, The Swan Song, All I Need, The Heart of Everything, Iron, Stairway to The Skies, And We Run, Edge of The World, Paradise ft Tarja and Mother Earth, enjoy Sharon den Adel´s vocals a lot

Epica - Dutch Symphonic Death/ Syphonic Power Metal band with great songs like, Cry For The Moon, Sensorium, Solitary Ground, Consign To Oblivion, Never Enough, Sancta Terra, Unleashed, Our Destiny, Tides of Time, Storm The Sorrow, Avalanche, Canvas of Life, Unchain Utopia, The Quantum Enigma, Edge of The Blade, Universal Death Squad, Once Upon a Nightmare and The Holographic Principle

Sirenia - Norwegian Symphonic Metal band and songs The Path To Decay, The Other Side, My Mind´s Eye, Once My Light, Lost in Life and Seven Widows Weep

I can recommend you Skillet and sogs Hero, Awake and Alive, The Resistance, Comatose, Whispers In The Dark and Not Gonna Die

Paramore if you don´t know, which you probably do and songs like Decode, Brick By Boring Brick, crushcrushcrush, Misery Business, Still Into You,, Emergency, Pressure, That´s What You Get, Ain´t It Fun, The Only Exception, Careful, Playig God. Only songs from their more punk phase because I don´t like their new pop sound

As to bands I only like or have only explored one song:
Hoobastank - The Reason
The Calling - Wherever You Will Go
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
Seether - Broken ft Amy Lee of Evanescence
Breaking Benjamin- The Diary of Jane
3 Doors Down - Here Without You
