Somewhere right now... HybridT is listening to Fort Minor. Well, obviously, if you haven't done in a while. I discovered that I've overplayed ATS over the years, which means that sadly it has become a bit boring for me. Back in the days ATS kinda was the highlight of the day, just sitting down once in a week in the evening and listening to ATS, doing nothing else and just letting it sink in. It was perfect.
It's by far my favourite LP album but I haven't listened to it in a few months for the same reason. On a bit of a detox from LP in general right now, so I can play the shit out of their music when I'm hyped up for LP7!
That's what I am doing, too. I hope this cycle will be a big hype again and Mike thinks of something special and fun for the fans, like he said.
Nowadays I'm always cautiously optimistic for an album, not really excited anymore. It can be as life-changing as ATS or as disappointing (note: not hate) as LT. I'm open to all options.
I get excited for the miscellaneous projects surrounding the albums 'cause we really don't know what the band members will bring to the table there. I still listen to stuff from the "Mall" soundtrack daily
I really hope things like the Mall soundtrack open the guys up to including those sort of songs in albums. Some of the interludes in that soundtrack would work perfectly as minute long palette cleansers in the middle of an album, not to mention the four songs with vocals, which are each great in their own right.
Um, it would clearly be +2, since you're subtracting 1 from 3. Simple math. Unless you hate LT SO MUCH that you've decided to deduce 4 points, that is.
It seems Reanimation these days is now underrated, or just forgotten about. I almost count it as a studio album. It's really good. So there, Reanimation is really, really good.
Years ago I used to constantly complain how overrated it was, but now I agree with you. It's fantastic. Possibly their second best release after A Thousand Suns.
