We can all pitch in, whoever gets it can rip FLACs for the community.

Problem is though we're still not 100% sure that that sample is on that CD. Though I guess our best bet is to PM the seller and ask him if the sample CD includes: "Ghella_02" or something very similar to that

I emailed him and a few other connections and named off the "Ghella_02" title.
    No one is responding though.

    Well, got one response.
But it was just to inform me the title of the sample isn't in any of their catalogs.
    That was from Spectrasonics.
Ashame, because my second guess was from their Distorted Reality series.

To be fair, that response was from Spectrasonics, not Rarefactions, which means that we still have hope for the original textural ambiance CD

Not to pull attention from the Runaway sample, but does anyone have an idea what the source of the intro sample of "Fuse" from Xero is from?
Not the obvious fuse dialogue, I'm reffering to the eerie pad type sound that sounds like it was ripped straight from a 1950s horror movie.

I always assumed it might have been from the same record that the vocal sample was from but was like ultra slowed down, it'd be interesting to find the exact sample though

Wait, I was just wondering @808ish did you email Charles Maynes (creator of the Textural Ambiance) directly?

Unfortunately it's not. The Disney vinyl in question is spoken word with sound effects. Don't believe there are really any musical samples.

    There's the fuse track:

    This is the full LP:

If not, that's the person to get in contact with. When I did scouring I found people talking about getting the tracks for free by emailing Maynes. He has a website with an email, though the site looks fairly old and incomplete so the email might not even be in service anymore.

I know what site your talking about, while it looks fairly old, I wouldn't be surprised if his email was still operational, I mean people in that forum where able to get in contact within him only about a year ago (all the posts date from 2015).

    Guys! Guys! Guys!

A kind member of KVR shared the CD with me for free!

Here's the link to Rarefaction Textural Ambience CD:

Edit: Here's a mega link in case the mediafire link goes down:

Here's a link to his profile. Please do thank him for his kindness!

    P.S: I couldn't find ghella on it :(
Edit 1: You need to add the .aif extension to most of the files to listen to them.
Edit2: I went through most of the samples and i can't find anything close to the Runaway Synth. This CD seems more like a horror film score.

@808ish Can you take a look?

Hmm, we'll still need @808ish to confirm just incase theres some files missing for whatever reason, but, if this is true, maybe it's in one of Rarefaction's other series' like "Poke In The Ear".

Edit: listening to some of the samples now, this CD's samples feel very similar to whats heard on Runaway, I feel like it should be in here

The majority of the samples on the Textural Ambience CD weren't actually created by Charles himself. Most of the samples were simply multi-trackings of patches he had recorded from popular well-known synths at the time, a couple of those being the Roland D50 and the Korg Wavestation. For the record, I also own the entire "Poke" Series and that sound does not stand out to me.
The timbre of the sample itself sounds closely related to the Korg Wavestation, a popular and widely-used vector synth throughout the 90's. I would suggest starting there.

Yeah, I went through it and couldn't find anything.
I can say sorry 100 times and still feel like it's not enough. You guys are so awesome for going through all these hurdles to obtain these samples and do research. You all have my respect.
My memory obviously failed me, and I'm let down to see it's not contained in that sample pack. I really couldn't even begin to guess where else it may be, I just had SO many sample cds.

But for what it's worth, we know it was indeed from an old school sample cd and we have a name to lean on.
I'm going to retire searching for it for the time being. If I come across it some day, I will rush to this forum!
    Thanks again.
