I really hope not . they said before that they've recorded a ton of material during the last year. so i wish we'll get more than the usual 12 tracks album this time .
I really don't care about the number of songs if the majority of the songs are above the 4 or 5 minute mark and have interesting elements, quality over quantity.
Excited for this new album, THP left a bad taste in my mouth. When I heard Blackbear was in the studio with them, my ears perked up.
Guilty All the Same was an epic single. It was radically different from what LP had done previously. I still remember being absolutely blown away by it. Hope that this first single will be in the same veins.
This record better be called "Meteora II" or I'm gonna write a bad YouTube comment under every LP video.
I KNEW I had heard that progression in the clip before but couldn't figure out what it was. You are exactly right, that's the song I couldn't put my finger on.
"In my mind RIGHT now." On the bright side, LP lyrics are back to wordplay. A clever callback to "Right Now" by Fort Minor. Bad news is Chester has RIGHT on his mind now, which means no LEFT-field experimentation.
Totally agree. And the funny thing is that people seem to only care about how many "songs" are on an album, and not how much music they get. Yes, ATS only has 9 "full songs" (instead of the usual 11), but it's the longest record they've ever put out, so you're actually getting both quantity and (in my opinion) quality. Even if the new album had only eight songs, it'd still be longer than 3/6 of the band's previous albums if each song was exactly five minutes long. If each song was exactly 6 minutes long, the album would be LP's longest. Yes, we'd have fewer songs, but we'd have more music. And as you said, if we did hypothetically get songs that long, you'd hope they have more interesting elements and structures.
Oh man, I can already smell the intro-chorus sans vocals-verse1-chorus-verse2-chorus-bridge-chorus-outro.
New ratings for LP albums: Hybread Theory- Toast/10 Meatyora- Burger/10 Minute Maid Lemonade to Midnight- Juicy/10 A Thousand Yums- Satisfaction/10 Licking Fiends- Creamy/10 The Hungry Party- Fancy/10
I agree. 9 songs album are weird to me. Make it 8 or 10 tracks I think I just like albums ending in even numbers Would be an ultimate troll to call it Meteora part 2 and it not be nu-metal. Mike should do it
Nothing worse when you scroll down the comments in a LP video and see the likes of "This song is dedicated to my parents! They can't tell me what to do!!!"
