I don't get that at all. I can see how you might get that vibe from the guitar riff, but to me the songs feel very different. He wouldn't see it. He's achieved the almighty banhammer.
My favorite song is TLTGYA. I'm so happy listening to these snippets of new songs, it's exactly the kind of music I wanted the LP to release. I hope that the official instrumental is not as bad as Heavy (which is much better in the live / acoustic version). OML will be beautiful! I already love it!
mmmm... I know you're joking but, seriously, I'm thinking about how the writers collaborators are have been helping for write the songs. Maybe only for a thematic? Until what percentage are the lyrics from Linkin Park and the other people?
I'm thinking I'll be fine with Talking to Myself, but the vibe I get right now would tell me won't end up an album favourite. Meanwhile I think I'm absolutely going to love One More Light. This has the potential to be the album's highlight. I feel with every release Linkin Park has at least one song that ends up in my all-time list (not just for the band. For music, period). This sounds like it has a real chance to be that song for this album.
KTT's opinions on music have fallen off so hard over the years. Ill ocassiinally post in an artists thread like T-Swift, LP, and The 1975 but outside of that I avoid the music sections at all costs. (Nothing but trolls in the main music section). I basically post only in the sports section these days. From what I remember a lot of people in that thread had ATS as a top 2 Linkin Park album. But just like all LP albums there areally people who think it's one of their worst. The only common opinion I've seen in that thread is that The Hunting Party is regarded as their worst album by basically everyone who posts In there.
I don't know what this says about me... but I really hope One More Light isn't the only undeniably sad song on the album, since they're going with an approach featuring no screaming and less distorted/aggressive guitars as it is. Talking to Myself and Heavy especially (since I've actually heard it all) don't really give me that vibe. This only leaves 7 more to fall in line with One More Light. I'm totally fine with it if One More Light ends up the saddest one on the album, but, I hope others (at least one other) is in that vein.
It's more the party/dancing vibe plus the repetitiveness of the chorus rather than any specific instrumentation.
Agree. The main music section is full of hypebeasts and trolls, and the rock/indie section is full of anti-mainstream music. Overall, the website isn't friendly to LP judging by THP rating of 0/10. Which sucks, because it use to be a relatively good site 4 years ago. I still don't know how to make an account there.

I'm a pretty good listener, even if I may not always know the right things to say. Derek, I like your idea about waiting for the album release to listen to One More Light. I wish I held off on listening to the snippet, but I'm definitely going to hold off if the full song gets released before May 19th.
