You've seen the lyrical differences of HT and the Pain focus of Meteora. What lyrical concepts do you want on the next album? I think LP should do a love song. I know I know I know...TEENIES, but I want to see a band that makes great music, do a song about such a strong topic as love. I also want to hear more songs like Hybrid Theory where you can actually picture the lyrics in your head, like with the metaphor with the Sun and Moon in APFMH
They have done songs about love (if you take them that way). Stuff like Points of Authority and With You vaguely deal with those subjects if you read the lyrics/listen to the song closely. Of course there aren't any happy songs from LP on the subject of love. A happy love song that's not sappy would be cool to hear from LP.
I'd like to hear different lyrics. No matter what they're about, it's good as long as it deals with different subjects.
With You is a definite love song, its bittersweet because it describes the bad part of the relationship. But I agree, LP have never made a flat out "I love you" type song, and I can guarantee you its because they don't want the fans to think they've gone soft.
Well I love how they sing about teens and whatnot. But it would be nice if they made a song about like the war or something else thats going on in the time. Where is the love by BEP is a good example of a song about war.
I always thought of Points of Authority as a political song... Don't hurt me.. :x I think they shouldn't just flat out say I love you. I think they could use metaphors to express love. That way it's not like.. "I need you baby, blah blah" I hope that's understandable. To put it simply, if they were to make a love song, I would like it to be kind of "poetry" like. Not like Backstreet Boys way of saying I love you. Get me? :\
i would like them to do a love song even though i read somewhere that chester would never sing a love song and when i say love song i mean LOVE not sex. also i think they should stop saying 'pain' and 'being ignored'
plonker? What the hell is that??? I didn't mean that they should straight out say it. I totally agree that they should use descriptive language for it. I'm just saying that they should make an obvious song about the subject instead of people vaguely seeing the idea in their previous songs. I don't think LP is going to make a song on the war. They might think it would give them some bad controversy, even though many people here have the same opinion. I think Points of Authority is kind of an example of it.
It's simple: Linkin Park need to evolve musically and go back to the same lyrical structures from Hybrid Theory and the EP, but they need to evolve what they sing about.
theres only one thing linkin park need....... EXPERIMENT god dammit im sick of the same sound, meteora had 2 experimental songs, the rest was all the same
Aside from "Breaking the Habit," what was the other song?
I would guess they were going to say Breaking The Habit and Nobody's Listening. Maybe even Session.

We established that.
Well geez, Sorry, when i posted that wasnt posted, sorry for not refreshing the page every 5 minutes
I agree with the first one. Not the second one. I mean, Mike is awesome, but what we don't need is to upset the balance that has been achieved between the two vocalists. I think the balance makes the blend perfect. I'll admit, HT had more rapping than Meteora, and HT is generally the more loved of the two CDs. But if the feeling of the next album doesn't require that much rapping, I don't want that much rapping.
