Tonight, Linkin Park premiered the new song "Talking To Myself" from their forthcoming album, One More Light, in Buenos Aires. There was a livestream of their entire set and from the livestream, we got a really good quality listen to "Talking To Myself." Check out the video for "Talking To Myself" with the transcribed lyrics beneath the video. Since they are transcribed, it is important to note that these lyrics may not be the official lyrics that we will see on the studio track, however, they are 100% correct to what Linkin Park performed live tonight. Tell me what I got to do There's no getting through to you The lights are on but nobody's home You say I can't understand But you're not giving me a chance When you leave me, where do you go All the walls that you keep building All this time that I spent chasing All the ways that I keep losing you The truth is you turn into someone else You keep running like the sky is falling I can whisper, I can yell But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself talking to myself talking to myself But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself I admit I made mistakes But yours might cost you everything Can't you hear me calling you home All the walls that you keep building All this time that I spent chasing All the ways that I keep losing you The truth is you turn into someone else You keep running like the sky is falling I can whisper, I can yell But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself talking to myself talking to myself But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself All the walls that you keep building All this time that I spent chasing All the ways that I keep losing you The truth is you turn into someone else You keep running like the sky is falling I can whisper, I can yell But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself talking to myself talking to myself But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know I'm just talking to myself So what do you think of "Talking To Myself?" Great. just great. For me the favorite song order now it is: 1- Battle Symphony 2- Talking To Myself 3- Good Goodbye 4- Heavy Disclaimer: "Great" remembering the sound that this album have.
BTW, i would love to be there (as my profile photo shows, im from argentina) but i have to say it. that was a great show.
That was excellent! Really enjoying every track off of One More Light so far. Can't wait for the rest of it!
Loved it. This is the sound which I was expecting when I heard about OML. Hope the rest of the songs are this good
Not feeling it. Knew it would be my least favorite hearing it awhile ago. Great melody but it just doesn't do anything for me. Catchy tho.
From the moment I heard the first snippet a month back, I knew this song would be among my favorites from the album. Where the first three songs LP has released have been EDM-pop, this song sounds more like indie/alternative/eletronic-pop, something more similar to CHVRCHES or Artic Monkeys. Personally I was both hoping and expecting them to release alternative-pop songs as it seems like that was THP was initially intended to be.
Sounds great! I've enjoyed this and Good Goodbye so maybe this album won't be a total loss on me like I predicted. I feel like this should've been the first single. It's poppy but it has a lot of elements that sound familiar to LP. If I had to guess, it's probably the guitar being up front that makes this easier to swallow at first. Now I'm a lot more curious for the rest of the album. Hoping Sorry for Now is as good as it's snippet just like this song was.
That...was...awesome! I guess I found something that I genuinely dig for this album. And surprisingly, despite the lyrics being similarly simple, it seems poetic for some reason which I like. But maybe that's just me. Considering the fact I'm a fan of Artic Monkeys, it's probably why I love this song more easily than the other songs released. That and the guitar throughout the song. Edit: finally heard on headphones, damn it's even more sick hearing it! And for the first time performing this song, it legit sounds solid good.
As tempting as it is, the album is less than two weeks away. I would love to listen to it right now, but I'm just going to hold off. I did like what I heard of the first live clip a while back. But it's reassuring to see that most seem to like this one and even more so than the singles.
