Hello everyone, for the second time in my life (last time was 2011), I watched every Linkin Park music video including features all in a row tonight. If I missed a video it was because It wasnt on the list I ised. The only videos I skipped were the Reanimation videos whether officially or unofficially official. While I was watching these music videos I decided to categorize this videos into "Good", "Average", and "Bad." While I don't expect everyone to do this, and I am not asking people to do this, I still want to ask what are your favorite music videos from the band? Here are the results that I personally came up with doing this venture: Good: Crawling In The End Somewhere I Belong Faint From the Inside Breaking the Habit Numb Lying From You What I've Done Shadow of the Day Leave Out All the Rest Given Up We Made It New Divide Not Alone The Catalyst Castle of Glass A Light That Never Comes Final Masquerade Darker Than Blood (Awful song, great music video) Heavy Good Goodbye Talking To Myself Average: One Step Closer Numb/Encore Burning In the Skies Iridescent (SOTS version) Bad: Papercut Points of Authority Bleed It Out Waiting for the End Iridescent (Transformers Version) Burn It Down Powerless Lost in the Echo Guilty All the Same Until It's Gone Wastelands
I think LITE is not that bad, but doesn't do justice for the song. GATS should come in Worst category.
These are the videos I consider to be the best from LP, no order: Crawling In The End Somewhere I Belong Faint From the Inside Breaking the Habit Numb What I've Done Shadow of the Day Leave Out All the Rest Given Up New Divide The Catalyst Castle of Glass Final Masquerade Heavy Good Goodbye Talking To Myself Until It's Gone Waiting for the End Iridescent Burning In The Skies Burn It Down Lost In The Echo Some other songs deserved to have an official music video. For example, A Place For My Head, One More Light, Sorry For Now, Rebellion, Roads Untraveled, Blackout, Valentine's Day and My December.
I don't feel like ranking all of them, but I will say BITS and WFTE are two of my favorite music videos of all time. Maybe I saw the music videos too soon before really knowing the songs, but to me they just beautifully capture the songs. They are super well-made and the VFX are awesome. I also really dig the What I've Done video. The shots of the band performing as some of my favorite. New divide is also visually really cool, which fits how cool the song sounds at moments like the bridge and intro.
Strange as it may seem, I haven't watched a lot of the band's music videos. But if I were to choose, "Papercut", "Faint", and "Somewhere I Belong".
How dare say that the Music Video for Waiting For The End is bad, the Music Video is pure Art. But i guess in the end, it doesnt even matter! At least for you. But for me it does actually matter!!! XD
Breaking The Habit. I just appreciate all the effort that went into it. And even if an anime style music video is kinda cheesy, I like the stories it tells and how the video goes along well with the message of the song. The music video of LOATR always puts a smile on face for just how goofy it is.
Its actually just the video from LIT but with the studio version as for my favorite video: The Catalyst. Hands down.
My all-time favorite music video is "What I've done". I find the video adds a lot of meaning to the song. I find the following music videos very emotional too: From the Inside, Iridescent, Crawling, Shadow of the Day, Good Goodbye, Waiting for the End, the Catalyst, Breaking The Habit.
My favorite videos are Faint and BTH. Maybe crawling but that's for nostalgic and sentimental reasons (the song that made my brother and I buy HT). I love FM as well and think that was their last great video.
My favorite LP music video is Waiting For The End. I used to watch it with lights off. It gives you this psychedelic feels.
