Hi all. I have this debate for my english class about Euthanasia or assisted suicide. I am part of the 'negative team' which means I have to give my arguements why I think Euthanasia has to be illegal. In my honest opinion, I am in favor of Euthanasia, since I think that each person has the choice to do what they want in their respective lifes, but the teacher assigned me to the opposite team. So, I would like you guys to help me. Do you think that Euthanasia has to be legal? Why? Why not? You can support your ideas by personal experiences. I would really appreciate a lot your support, thanks in advance!
I support euthanasia 100% and absolutely 100% it should be legal. I believe it should be a choice and it's much preferable to dying slowly and painfully. When dying Doctors slowly deprive you of food and water, and when asked why they won't give you food or water to someone starving or very dehydrated the answer was "well we could but it would prolong it" euthanasia would be much much better in those circumstances.
