I mean, there were many shots fired, but an appearance in John Wick 3 requires The Story of Adidon levels of shots fired.
Make It Up As I Go is my shit. I really love K. Flay's feature. It does hit me in the feels that I can imagine Chester on the chorus though
Random observation: I love how at the start of the last chorus of Hold It Together Mike had the SONG censor the word "shit". For some reason that's hilarious to me.
Wow!!! This album is so unique...The second half of the album it's so good!! Hold It Together - its my favorite song of the album right now Make It Up as I Go - this song surprised me the most, very radio-friendly Lift Off - Ok song. Love Chino's voice in any song. Wish more mike on the track I.O.U - gave me such a Hybrid Theory/early days vibe Favorites: Hold It Together, Running From My Shadow, Ghosts, Make It Up As I Go, Cant' Hear You Now, Over Again Well done Mike!!
Maybe it's because I just woke up, but I cant picture what you're describing here. I cant wait till hear it, first time I'm not listening to a leak.
I've finally heard the whole record in nearly one go... I've never had so much shinoda in one sitting so I have not fully processed the music, but I can definitely say that every single track is a really good track to my ears. Once I pop in the physical in my car, that's when I'll really experience the record. I don't know but the car is the best place for me to absorb an album. It even beats the studio for me.
100% agreed. One of my big selling points on One More Light is how great of a driving record it is. I imagine PT will be just as great.
Whoa it's amazing! all the songs sound so different from each other, especially the production is killer, some of the best stuff Mike has ever done. Favorite unreleased songs: I.O.U (dat flow!), World's On Fire, Brooding and Promises I Can't Keep.
Yep, K.Flay's voice still hasn't grown on me and I don't think it's going to. My hatred of Machine Gun Kelly is also well-documented. Album's solid otherwise. Always good when the weakest track (About You) is released in advance so nothing else comes off as a disappointment.
This was my first real exposure to K.Flay and I enjoyed her feature. Definitely a song built for heavy radio play but I'm okay with that. I don't HATE Machine Gun Kelly, but I'm not in favor either. My gripe with Lift Off is there not being enough Mike, AKA I would've been okay with ditching MGK's verse in favor of another Mike verse. Always interesting to see how everyone's opinions vary.
"Promises I Can't Keep" might be my favorite track. If the future of LP went in that direction, then I'd be all for it. I've criticized Mike's rapping over the years, but this album is a massive improvement not only lyrically but flow wise and confidence as well (Obviously subject matter plays a part in that). I can say the same thing about his singing as well. Mike's always been a solid producer and this album's no exception. It's rare that I like every single track on an album, let alone a 16 track one. For as therapeutic as it was for Mike to make this, it's equally cathartic for the fans listening. I didn't know how much I needed this album until I heard it, and quality of the music aside I'm simply grateful this exists and for Mike sharing with us. Makes me even more optimistic about the potential LP could have moving forward should they choose to. I'm loving this shit
