Overrated. People act like they're gods gift to rock music. Thats bullsh*t. edit: and can you believe they won a grammy?
they suck live, for example: the grammys, seven nation army had the guitar all out of tune and he had the crappest little guitar with the crappest distorted amps
The White Stripes are just really awful. I thought I might like them after hearing 'Seven Nation Army' but I was wrong. The guitar riffs are okay but the drumming is repetitive. Their videos are terrible and most of their songs are so boring they can put me to sleep. Plus, they badly need a bassist.
Yeah. Pisses me off that these really bad talentless bands become famous although bands that are really amazing, like Dry Cell for example, aren't.
I cant believe they won from Linkin Park last year at the EMA's [/b][/quote] Some Europeans have no taste. *remembers people all around the world could vote for the awards* Some humans have no taste.
I have only heard the singles that they have put out and I like them. I really love Seven Nation Army. It's an awesome song, in my opinion. I do like The White Stripes but I don't like them enough to actually buy their cds.
Love 'em or hate 'em, looks like everyone has strong opininons about 'em. So no one has a clue what the Hardest Button to Button is? :wth:
Well, I know that song. I don't like it as much as their other singles but I'll listen to it once in a while. Or if you mean the actual hardest button to button, I think it's the one highest up on a shirt so when you button it, you almost have trouble breathing.
Elephant is a good CD. They're not going to appeal to most mainstream music lovers, IMO. They're most recent sound is more blues rock than just rock. Hardest Button To Button, Seven Nation Army, In The Cold Night, Ball and Biscuit & I Want To Be The Boy are all excellent songs. Their earlier stuff is good, also. Hotel Yorba =
Get this. My best friend popped in a Scorpions album and this song started playing... and it was the same riff from "Hardest Button to Button"! Same drums and everything. The Whitestripes changed it a little but it's the same basic thing. That CD is like from the 80s. I'll try to get the song title and CD to see what you guys think.
i recognise the intro from seven nation army and i haven't been able to work out what it sounds like!

Yes please post the song name once you find it.
IMO they are amazing just for 2 people making music together I haven't really heard anything by them except for their singles but I really like their singles.
