Feels a little like a sequel to "Already Over", will be interested to hear the studio ver.

Also I totally called that they'd probably premiere it live or something (admittedly a half assed call when I did), hahaha

It feels like this album has been made specifically to sell live shows which means each song has to be a single worthy banger, not so much room for experimentation and such (based on the two songs we know of, at least). This also would explain the short tracklist and song lengths.

I listened once. The chorus is already circling in my head. Now I'm praying I have the strength to hold on for two more days to listen to the studio recording in all it's glory.

Man, Emily's vocals sounded incredible in the performance of the song.
That scream in the bridge was like 10-11 seconds and I have a feeling it might be longer in the actual version cause of how the bridge progresses.

    Insane debut.
There's so much ENERGY in this return of LP.

Side note - I hope Emily is getting the right vocal coaching for screaming in all the songs.

Listen non-stop to LGM instrumental. To those catchy Crash Bandicoot sounds  It may help.

That would've been the most uninspired/obvious take on the title.

I donno it just feels very uninspired.

Aslo I'm not sure how I feel about an on-the-nose song about Chester. There are more poetic/subtle ways to write about him (if they even ever do that).

I mean, Mike knew someone at Riot and he was invited to that Arcane show premiere which is when that viral twitch moment happened where the interviewer didn't know who he was.

So I assume that same connection could've helped with this.

Ohhhh daaamn that studio recording can't come soon enough.

By the way, still too early to call but, I want to put a pin on that quote Mike said during one of the first interviews that "putting these songs under a different [band] name, would've been a disservice to them".

Also another pin on another quote where he said Emily's voice from a creative standpoint just invited the guys to write heavier music. So far, it eems like it's a 2/2.

I hope this album sends shockwaves man, these guys deserve it.

Also, this is not really a surprise BUT - Emily's performances on HER songs that she's been a part of have been next level. Like its so clear that these new songs utilize her vocals really really well.
Well within her range, doesn't feel like she had to struggle to do the screams, and very consistent vocal performances.

You're talking about a band that wrote Victimized and Lies Greed Misery. Apart from A Thousand Suns, they haven't exactly been the most subtle group.

That said, I didn't exact mean an on the nose "wow this crown sure is heavy guys because that singer before was really good" song about Chester. Something that could also be interpreted any number of ways like the rest of their discography.

Gonna pass on them for now but that first video thumbnail, Mike with a telecaster? I really don't remember him with that guitar, though we've seen him over the years with quite the selection, I can't recall a tele.

This tour is the first where he's actually playing a Fender Tele, he did play a GGP Tele shaped guitar before.
